Since most Accor properties are in Europe, this potentially is good news for European travelers wanting a little more flexibility in their points. The only downside of the new relationship is the less-than-brilliant transfer ratios either way.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Key_Details\">Key Details<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Transfers between both programs are at the following rates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From Accor to Eurostar: 4,000 Accor Points = 350 Eurostar points<\/li>\n<li>From Club Eurostar to Accor: 500 Club Eurostar points = 1,500 Accor points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span id=\"Is_it_Worth_it\">Is it Worth it<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In almost every instance the transfer is of little value. Looking at transfers from Accor to Eurostar, a basic Eurostar tickets cost 1,000 Club Eurostar points, and can also be bought in advance for around $100 cash. To get an award ticket, you would need to transfer 12,000 Accor points. When it comes to redemptions within their own program, you redeem 2,000 Accor points for \u20ac40 off the cost of your stay. The 12,000 points would work out at \u20ac240 off a hotel stay, redeeming them for a $100 train ticket would be a substantial loss.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at transfers from Club Eurostar to Accor, the situation is slightly better but not by much. 1,000 Eurostar points would give you 3,000 Accor point. You could only redeem 2,000 points for \u20ac40 off your stay, but you could redeem 1,000 Eurostar points for a train ticket worth $100. Again, a substantial loss.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Our_Take\">Our Take<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Anytime flexibility is added to a points currency its good news. Although the ability to transfer points between both programs is welcome, in reality, we can\u2019t see many people taking advantage of it.
