Then, you can extend that status through February 2027 by completing ten nights in the first 90 days after registering.<\/p>\n<p>Even better, AAdvantage Platinum Pro and Executive Platinum elites can elevate to top-tier <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/world-of-hyatt\/hyatt-globalist\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyatt Globalist elite status<\/a> by staying 20 elite nights in the 90-day challenge period.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline to register for this year's offer is <strong>October 31, 2025<\/strong>. So, eligible travelers have a few months to plan your enrollment to ensure you meet the challenge requirements to extend your new Hyatt status.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Partnership_Overview\"><span id=\"World_of_Hyatt-American_Airlines_AAdvantage_Partnership_Overview\"><b>World of Hyatt-American Airlines AAdvantage Partnership Overview<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/blog\/hyatt-american-airlines-partnership\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyatt and American Airlines partnership<\/a> launched in April 2019 but was <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/travel\/hyatt-american-airlines-partnership\/\" rel=\"noopener\">overhauled at the end of 2014<\/a>. Gone are the days of earning Hyatt points on American Airlines flights and AAdvantage miles on Hyatt stays.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, World of Hyatt elites can select American Airlines perks as part of the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/world-of-hyatt\/milestone-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyatt Milestone Rewards<\/a> program and redeem Hyatt points for American Airlines Status for a Day. Similarly, AAdvantage elites can select Hyatt perks through AAdvantage <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/american-aadvantage\/loyalty-point-rewards-choices\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Loyalty Point Rewards<\/a> and redeem miles for free nights at Hyatt.<\/p>\n<p>And we're happy to see that two programs are continuing to offer status matches between programs.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Hyatt_Status_Challenge_for_American_Airlines_Elites\"><span id=\"World_of_Hyatt_Status_Challenge_for_American_Airlines_Elites\"><b>World of Hyatt Status Challenge for American Airlines Elites<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>American Airlines AAdvantage elites can register to immediately get Explorist status for 90 days. Still, the ability for AAdvantage Platinum Pro and Executive Platinum elites to earn top-tier Globalist status in just 20 nights is particularly lucrative.<\/p>\n<p>The terms and conditions also mention that eligible rates <strong>and award nights<\/strong> will qualify. These include Free Night Awards, Suite Upgrade Awards, and Club Lounge Access Awards.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"New_2021_Elite_Status_Match_Challenge\"><span id=\"World_of_Hyatt-AAdvantage_Elite_Status_Match-Challenge_History\"><b>World of Hyatt-AAdvantage Elite Status Match-Challenge History<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Hyatt and American have offered six previous rounds of elite status matches\/challenges &#8212; one each year. The original status match\/challenge ended on October 1, 2019. Since then, Hyatt and American have offered status match offerings between:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>March through September 2020<\/li>\n<li>July through September 2021<\/li>\n<li>August through November 2022<\/li>\n<li>August through November 2023<\/li>\n<li>August through October 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At first, these status match-challenge offers were reciprocal. Hyatt elites could fast-track to AAdvantage elite status, and AAdvantage elites could fast-track to World of Hyatt elite status. However, starting in 2022, AAdvantage started getting stingy about offering status matches to World of Hyatt elites.<\/p>\n<p>Now, World of Hyatt elites aren't guaranteed a shortcut to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/american-aadvantage\/elite-status\/\" rel=\"noopener\">AAdvantage elite status<\/a>. Do so when you have the best chance of meeting the stay requirements.
