However, we don't think putting high spending on this card is your best move. You're better off putting that extra spend on a credit card that has a better return.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Save_on_points_purchases\"><b><\/b>Save on points purchases<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>There are situations when buying points can save you a bundle compared to paying cash for your stay. It's important to note that, according to the terms and conditions, <i>the 20% discount on points purchases can't be combined with other deals or discounts<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, you likely won't be able to combine this discount with recurring promotions to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/ihg-one-rewards\/buy-ihg-points\/\" rel=\"noopener\">buy IHG points<\/a> with a discount or bonus, which regularly offer points for as little as 0.5\u00a2 each.
