Chase and Hyatt just launched a great new promotion for co-branded cardmembers. For a limited time, it'll be easier to earn World of Hyatt elite status and Milestone Rewards\u2014like free nights, bonus points, lounge access awards, gift cards, and more\u2014even from home. Plus, new cardmembers of The World of Hyatt Credit Card<\/a> will get double the standard number of elite night credits for applying now.<\/p>\n

Woes of the Travel Industry<\/span><\/h2>\n

With the world of travel at a standstill, a lot of people have stopped applying for\u2014and spending on\u2014travel credit cards<\/a>. Many have also started shifting spend away from travel-related cards in favor of more well-rounded everyday-spend cards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, Hyatt and Chase have devised a promotion to simultaneously attract new applicants and entice current cardholders to continue spending on their co-branded cards.<\/p>\n

How the World of Hyatt Card Helps with Earning Status<\/span><\/h2>\n

Considering Hyatt is one of our favorite hotel brands<\/a>, it's not surprising that Chase's World of Hyatt Card<\/a> (review<\/a>) is also one of our favorite hotel credit cards<\/a>. This is for a\u00a0slew of reasons<\/a>, not the least of which is the ability to spend your way to elite status.<\/p>\n

As a quick recap, in addition to a bonus of up to up to 60,000 Bonus Points points and a free night certificate<\/a> (on your account anniversary), World of Hyatt Card<\/a> cardmembers ordinarily<\/i> receive five elite night credits,\u00a0as well as two elite qualifying nights for every $5,000 spent on the card.<\/p>\n

This incentivizes cardmembers to continue spending on the card, even after completing the sign-up bonus. It's also possible\u2014if not a little impractical\u2014to earn top-tier\u00a0Globalist<\/a>\u00a0status without spending a single night in a\u00a0Hyatt hotel<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Now, it looks like these benefits are getting even better.<\/p>\n

Earn Additional Elite Night Credits for Spending<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

In an announcement shared via email, Hyatt states that for a limited time, the World of Hyatt Card<\/a> will earn three<\/b> elite-qualifying night credits for every $5,000 spent. These are the terms:<\/p>\n

  2. Total of 3 elite-qualifying night credits, which is one additional night credit than what cardmembers typically earn<\/li>\n
  3. Statement-closing date does not matter, only the date the purchase posts<\/li>\n
  4. Credits may post at different times<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Additional Elite Nights for New Cardmembers<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

    New Cardmembers who\u00a0apply for the The World of Hyatt Credit Card<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0June 30, 2020<\/b>, will receive ten elite-qualifying night credits towards Hyatt status. This is five nights more than what cardmembers usually receive.<\/p>\n
