You'll find plenty of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/british-airways-club\/book-with-avios\/\" rel=\"noopener\">award availability on British Airways flights<\/a>. But, that availability is often paired with <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/airlines\/british-airways-club\/avoid-avios-fuel-surcharges\/\" rel=\"noopener\">ridiculous fuel surcharges<\/a> and airport taxes that can erase much of the savings of using miles.<\/p>\n<p>However, where British Airways shines is its extensive route network and affordable cash fares to Europe. While AARP restricts some of the benefits based on your age, the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.britishairways.com\/en-us\/offers\/partners\/aarp-member-benefits\" rel=\"noopener\">discount on British Airways<\/a> is open to everyone.<\/p>\n<p>Membership only costs $16 per year. Considering it can save you up to $200 per person on just one trip, it's a no-brainer for anyone planning to book a qualifying British Airways ticket.<\/p>\n<p>While this discount is not a guaranteed benefit, British Airways has continually extended it year after year. This latest extension is much longer than the last one &#8212; which was an extension of just two months. This time around, AARP and British Airways have extended the discount for a whopping one and a half years. AARP members can now save on British Airways flights through <strong>January 31<\/strong><b>, 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Here's how much you'll save:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$65 off return economy Standard fares (World Traveller). Note that the AARP discount does not apply to basic economy fares.<\/li>\n<li>$65 off return premium economy fares (World Traveller Plus)<\/li>\n<li>$200 off return business fares (Club World)<\/li>\n<li>$200 off return first class fares (First). Although this isn't an advertised discount, the discount is currently applicable to First Class fares<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As in prior versions of this discount, the discount is available to all cabins of service &#8212; including premium economy. While it's not quite as generous as it has been in the past, a $65 discount is still better than no discount at all \u2014 as it's been for the last couple of years.<\/p>\n\n<table The good news is that BA calculates the discount based on your ticket's total purchase price, including all of the taxes, fees, and carrier surcharges. The bad news is that all flights have to be on British Airways aircraft, meaning that itineraries that include connections on AA or any other partner airline won't qualify.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"How_to_add_the_Chase_British_Airways_discount_code\"><b>How to add the Chase British Airways discount code<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Unfortunately, adding the code isn't quite as self-explanatory as you might expect. BA doesn't make it obvious where you can add this code, so I'll show you here.<\/p>\n<p>Start by navigating to\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.britishairways.com\/travel\/home\/public\/en_us\/\" rel=\"noopener\">British Airways' website<\/a> and search for your trip. Once you've found your desired itinerary and selected your flights, the second screen \u2014 entitled &#8216;Review your flights\u2019 \u2014 will display your choice. This is where you add the promo code.
