However, you\u2019ll receive <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/marriott-bonvoy\/what-are-marriott-elite-night-credits\/\" rel=\"noopener\">elite night credit<\/a> only for the room you personally stay in.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"Platinum_Titanium_and_Ambassador_Elite_Welcome_Gift_Options\"><span id=\"Platinum_Titanium_and_Ambassador_Elite_welcome_gift_options\">Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador Elite welcome gift options<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Marriott Bonvoy offers Platinum Elite (and higher) members a choice of welcome gifts on each stay. Be aware of your guaranteed benefit before you check in, and don't be afraid to follow up if it isn't offered proactively.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"Upgrades\"><span id=\"Upgrades\">Upgrades<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Gold Elite members can get upgrades to enhanced rooms based on availability. These could include a higher floor, a nicer view, a corner room, or a room with extra amenities. Ritz-Carlton properties are the exception \u2014 Gold members won\u2019t receive club-level access there.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/marriott-bonvoy\/marriott-platinum-benefits\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Marriott Platinum Elite members<\/a> and higher are eligible for the best available room at check-in for the length of the stay. Upgrades can include suites, higher floors, better views, or corner rooms. At Ritz-Carlton properties, only Titanium Elite members and higher are eligible for suite upgrades, and even then, club-level access is not included.<\/p>\n<p>Before you get too excited, keep in mind that not every Marriott brand offers upgrades. The following types of properties don\u2019t participate in this benefit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marriott Vacation Club<\/li>\n<li>Marriott Grand Residence Club<\/li>\n<li>Sheraton Vacation Club<\/li>\n<li>Westin Vacation Club<\/li>\n<li>The Phoenician Residences, a Luxury Collection Residence Club, Scottsdale<\/li>\n<li>Ritz-Carlton Reserve<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upgrades are never guaranteed and ultimately come down to availability and the property\u2019s discretion \u2014 even for Titanium and Ambassador Elite members.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Marriott_Nightly_Upgrade_Awards\">Marriott Nightly Upgrade Awards<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If you reach 50 elite nights \u2014 and again at 75 nights \u2014 each calendar year, you can select an <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/hotels\/marriott-bonvoy\/annual-choice-benefit\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Annual Choice Benefit<\/a>. One of the options is <a href=\"\/hotels\/marriott-bonvoy\/nightly-upgrade-awards\/\">Marriott Nightly Upgrade Awards<\/a>. These certificates allow you to confirm an upgrade before arrival, rather than hoping for one at check-in.<\/p>\n<p>Each Nightly Upgrade Award covers one night of your stay and must be used for the full length of the reservation. For example, a four-night stay requires four certificates.<\/p>\n<p>When you apply a Nightly Upgrade Award to your stay, Marriott will start checking for upgrades five days before you check in.
