Unfortunately, Lufthansa can impose hefty surcharges and withhold award availability until the last minute. Booking it is quite a task.<\/p>\n<p>With that said, if you\u2019re dead set on flying Lufthansa First, LifeMiles is one of the best places to book it. Despite a recent <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/news\/avianca-lifemiles\/award-devaluation-2024\/\" rel=\"noopener\">LifeMiles award devaluation<\/a>, LifeMiles still offers a comparatively reasonable 128,000 miles between the U.S. and Western Europe.
