With the latest offer, matching and extending your status past the trial period means you'll lock in Hilton Honors elite status through March 31, 2028<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Here's everything you need to know about how to match your hotel elite status to Hilton Honors<\/a>, keep your status past the three-month trial period, and why it's worth matching.<\/p>\n

Hilton Honors Status Match and Challenge Offer<\/span><\/h2>\n

From bonus points to complimentary breakfast<\/a> (or a food and beverage credit), plus a lot more, there are several reasons to consider picking up status in the Hilton Honors program \u2014 especially if you stay at any of the brand's properties regularly.<\/p>\n

Even better, status matching provides a way to earn status in the program without meeting the traditional requirements for staying a certain number of nights at Hilton properties, completing a specified number of stays, or earning requisite base points.<\/p>\n

How to match your hotel elite status to Hilton Honors<\/span><\/h3>\n

Matching to Hilton Honors\u2122 Gold elite status requires visiting the status match landing page<\/a>, logging into your Hilton account — or creating one if you're not already a member.<\/p>\n

To make your request, click the dropdown menu to select the hotel elite status you currently hold with one of five brands, such as World of Hyatt<\/a> or Marriott Bonvoy<\/a>. Note that while Hilton provides an “other” option, the terms also state the following:<\/p>\n

“Only elite statuses from another hotel loyalty program that are listed in the status dropdown menu are eligible for status matching.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hilton will have you upload a screenshot to prove your current status tier and a photo showing evidence of a “recent stay.” Hilton doesn't clarify what counts as recent for this. After submitting your request, Hilton notes that it can take 7-12 business days for processing.<\/p>\n

Remember, Hilton only allows one status match per lifetime. So, if you've been approved before for a match, you won't be approved again.<\/p>\n

How to retain Hilton Honors\u2122 Gold or upgrade to Diamond<\/span><\/h3>\n

Assuming Hilton approves your status match request, your account will reflect Gold status for 90 days. During the trial period, you must complete six (6) paid nights<\/strong> \u2014 reward nights don't count \u2014 to extend your Gold status through March 31, 2028.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, you can upgrade to Hilton Honors\u2122 Diamond status by completing 12 paid nights<\/strong> within the trial period. And like with Gold status, completing the challenge means you'll remain a Diamond until March 31, 2028.<\/p>\n

There's no “end date” to this promotion, but matching sooner rather than later and completing the requirements to extend your status means you'll get to enjoy it for longer.<\/p>\n

Other Ways To Earn Hilton Elite Status<\/span><\/h2>\n

Whether you're ineligible for the match, or just want to enjoy Hilton Honors elite status without the hassle of completing requirements, there's an alternative to matching. Four American Express credit cards offer complimentary Hilton Honors\u2122 Gold status as long as you carry the card.<\/p>\n

That means you can retain Gold status for as little as $150 per year without meeting the traditional requirements of staying 25 nights at a Hilton property, completing 15 stays, or spending $6,000.<\/p>\n
