<\/p>\nMarriott\u2019s recent announcement of instant status matches and points transfers between Marriott & SPG accounts has opened up a massive number of new opportunities for loyalty program members.<\/p>\n

The advantages of linking accounts are that you\u2019ll receive an instant status match to the corresponding elite tier in the opposing loyalty program, and transfer points between accounts to take advantage of partner transfers and points redemptions previously not possible.<\/p>\n
But, before you can enjoy your new elite benefits at Marriott or Starwood, you\u2019ll need to link your Marriott or Ritz-Carlton Rewards and SPG accounts.<\/p>\n
Marriott has made this a cinch by building a new section to its website dedicated to members linking accounts<\/a>.<\/p>\n 1. Head over to the new Marriott website for loyalty members<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n 2. Sign into either your Marriott, Ritz, or SPG account (I\u2019m starting with my SPG account for this example).<\/strong><\/p>\n 3. Sign into your Marriott or Ritz account.<\/strong><\/p>\n 4. Confirm that you want your accounts linked.<\/strong><\/p>\n 5. You\u2019ll receive an email confirming your accounts are now linked.<\/strong><\/p>\n Success! It\u2019s that easy to link your Marriott and SPG accounts.<\/p>\n If you are not a member of one of the loyalty programs, use the links below to create an account, then follow steps 1 through 4 to connect your accounts and receive a status match.<\/p>\n Marriott has made the account linking and status matching<\/a> process incredibly easy, the whole process takes less than a minute.
