Now through March 31, 2022, you'll earn a 20% bonus when you transfer Capital One miles to your Club Premier account. Typically, Capital One miles transfer to Aeromexico at a 1:1 ratio (and transfers are immediate.<\/a>) However, during this bonus promotion, you'll receive 1.2 Club Premier Points.<\/p>\n

For comparison, 1:1.6 is the standard transfer ratio when transferring American Express Membership Rewards<\/a> to Aeromexico Club Premier.<\/p>\n

How to Transfer<\/span><\/h3>\n

To take advantage of this promotion, log in to your Capital One account and ensure that you have linked your Club Premier account to your Capital One account. Then, choose how many miles you want to transfer to Aeromexico and send away. Your miles should show up instantly. You may need to log out and log back in again to see the new balance. While there is no cap on the number of miles you can transfer to your Club Premier account, there is a minimum. You will need to transfer at least 1,000 Capital One miles. As previously mentioned, you have until the end of the day March 31, 2022 to enjoy the 20% transfer bonus from Capital One to Aeromexico Club Premier.<\/p>\n

Aeromexico Premier Points Expiration Policy<\/span><\/h2>\n

24 months after the date you've earned them, your Aeromexico Premier Points do expire<\/a>. However, this is not the case if you have accrual activity on your account.\u00a0The good news is that there are many ways you can keep your account active. You can take a flight with Aeromexico, book a cruise through the Aeromexico cruise portal, fly with partner airlines, and more.<\/p>\n

However, you should note that transferring points between your family group or redemption activity will not count towards resetting the deadline for the expiration of your Premier Points. Thankfully, you're allowed to reinstate your points post expiration. However, this isn't going to be cheap. There is a pretty big fee and designated timeframe for doing this. You can only reinstate points that have expired in the last 12 months.<\/p>\n

This process costs $9 per 1,000 points. Also, there is a hefty cost of 400 pesos\/~$20 administration fee. Because of these fees and extra expenses, Award Wallet recommends staying up to date on your account activity and expiration of your points. If you do this, then you are more likely to earn more points or use the points to stop them from expiring.<\/p>\n

Capital One Aeromexico Transfer Bonus History<\/span><\/h2>\n

While we have seen frequent transfer bonuses from Amex to Aeromexico, this is the first transfer bonus that's been offered from Capital One to Aeromexico.<\/p>\n

Aeromexico was one of the original Capital One Rewards transfer partners<\/a> launched in December 2018. At the time, Capital One miles transferred to Aeromexico miles at a 4:3 transfer ratio. Then, in April 2021, Capital One improved this transfer ratio<\/a> to 1:1.<\/p>\n

Aeromexico's Club Premier program is a solid frequent flyer program that allows members to redeem points for travel not only on Aeromexico but dozens of global partners.
