Cards that offer this perk will always incur a higher annual fee than cash-back cards, and even higher than other co-branded credit cards for the same hotel chain.<\/p>\n<p>Some credit cards offer top-tier (or near top-tier) status just for being a cardholder. While this can make earning status nearly effortless, it can also increase the number of elites and dilute the overall value of the benefits. You can earn it with 60 qualifying nights each year, and it comes with a range of valuable perks &#8212; including free full breakfast at most properties, space-available standard suite upgrades, waived resort fees, plus Milestone Rewards along the way.<\/p>\n<p><a data-ccid=\"4048116\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/world-of-hyatt\/chase-hyatt-card\/\">The World of Hyatt Credit Card<\/a> and <a data-ccid=\"4048270\" href=\"https:\/\/awardwallet.com\/credit-cards\/world-of-hyatt\/hyatt-business-card\/\">World of Hyatt Business Credit Card<\/a> only provide automatic Discoverist status \u2014 the lowest elite tier of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/hotels\/world-of-hyatt\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyatt's loyalty program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, you can achieve Hyatt Globalist status solely through credit card spending or through a mix of stays, events, and credit card spending. You can earn qualifying nights through credit card spending at the following rates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>World of Hyatt Card:<\/strong> Two qualifying nights for each $5,000 of purchases<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hyatt Business Card:<\/strong> Five qualifying nights for each $10,000 of purchases<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Plus, the World of Hyatt Card also provides five qualifying nights annually as a cardholder benefit.<\/p>\n<p>Put together, that means you could conceivably earn Hyatt Globalist status with the following spend:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>World of Hyatt Card:<\/strong> $140,000\u00a0 (5 for being a cardholder + 56 nights from spending)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hyatt Business Card:<\/strong> $120,000\u00a0 (60 nights through spending alone)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lastly, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/news\/hyatt-american-airlines-status-match\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyatt's partnership with American Airlines<\/a> has provided status matches and fast-track opportunities on multiple occasions, and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/credit-cards\/bilt-rewards\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Bilt Rewards<\/a> offered a Globalist challenge in 2023.
