Then, you hold the points for a short time before moving them back to Wyndham Rewards. Once moved back, they appear as &#8220;new&#8221; points with an 18-month validity deadline.<\/p>\n<p>While this is one way of gaming the system, it is an open secret that has been going on for a long time. However, if you have a lot of points, this would only work for some of them. Although you can transfer up to 60,000 points through the end of the year, the normal cap is just 30,000 points.
