20 years ago today, AwardWallet founders Alexi Vereschaga and Todd Mera launched the first version of their new points and miles tracking website. In the two decades since, AwardWallet has grown to support over 860,000 users.
We wanted to celebrate this milestone by reviewing how far we've come. And we didn't just want to keep these impressive stats to ourselves. Here's an overview of some current AwardWallet user stats — with some hints about how you can utilize more AwardWallet tools yourself.

638 Loyalty Programs Supported
AwardWallet is best known for helping travelers track airline miles, hotel points, and credit card points. However, we support many other types of loyalty programs as well. Other types of travel loyalty programs include car rentals, train, cruise, parking, and even timeshare points. Plus, you can track shopping, dining, casino, and survey rewards programs. From Marriott Bonvoy to Beefsteak Rewards, you can see the full list here.
234.6 Billion Points and Miles Tracked
Adding up the account balances across all AwardWallet users, we currently help users track — and protect from expiration — over 234 billion points and miles. These mostly consist of three types of points:
- 92.23 billion credit card points
- 56.37 billion hotel points
- 69.64 billion airline miles
That's an average balance of around 270,000 points/miles per user. Curious about how you stack up? Head to the bottom of your Account List to see how many accounts you're tracking and your combined points balance. Click the plus symbol next to “Totals” to see your breakdown by type of account:

$4.692 Billion in Value
When you apply the average redemption rate to those point balances, AwardWallet is currently helping users track points and miles worth at least $4.692 billion in value! And that's a minimum amount, as this only includes programs where we track average redemption values.

9.3 Loyalty Accounts Per User
AwardWallet users track their account balances and expiration dates for an average of just over nine loyalty accounts. Of course, the more programs you track, the more you can see your loyalty program accumulations all in one place.
To add more accounts to your AwardWallet account, head here and search for the program you'd like to track. AwardWallet users who connect an email account can shortcut this process through the Discovered Loyalty Accounts page.
719,000 Credit Cards Tracked
Did you know that you can use our Credit Card Spend Analysis and Transaction Analyzer tools to maximize your rewards on purchases? To help shortcut the process, we automatically detect which cards you seem to have and factor them into these calculations. Missing a card? Make sure that you've connected your card issuer account to AwardWallet.
31.3 Trips Per User
Outside of point balance and expiration tracking, my favorite AwardWallet feature is the AwardWallet trip-tracking tool. Gone are the days of having to write out a trip itinerary by hand. You can use the AwardWallet Trip timeline to compile all of your trip plans in one spot — from flights and hotels to car rentals and even dining reservations.
By tracking your trips through the AwardWallet Timeline, you can see your accumulated travel stats. Want to see an example? Check out my AwardWallet author profile to see how much I've flown and how many countries I've visited so far this year. This report is automatically generated through the trip-tracking feature and is available to all AwardWallet users.

Bottom Line
The AwardWallet team is thrilled to celebrate our 20th anniversary today. We appreciate your part in making us the premier points and miles tracking website around. Whether you're a new user or have been around all 20 years, we wouldn't be where we are today without your support.
