Club Eurostar is the free loyalty program for Eurostar, the high-speed rail service linking London with continental Europe via the Chunnel. With direct connections to Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, and more, Eurostar is a convenient alternative to flying. Plus, every ticket you buy earns points toward free train travel.

Eurostar fares can be high during peak times, so an award ticket between London and Paris can save you well over $100 on a single leg. Because Club Eurostar sits outside the big airline alliances and you can only transfer points from a couple of partners, most points-and-miles enthusiasts overlook it. That's exactly why the program deserves a closer look.

Here's our guide to the Club Eurostar program.

How Club Eurostar Works

Before you can earn and redeem Reward Points, you'll need to join Club Eurostar. When you do, be sure to add Club Eurostar to AwardWallet so you can keep track of your benefits.

Don't have an AwardWallet account yet? Sign up for free and track unlimited rewards programs and travel plans.

Once you've set up your account, you'll earn both reward points and status points when you travel with Eurostar.

Reward Points pay for free tickets, upgrades, and discounts. Reward Points won't expire if you have qualifying activity in your account at least once every 24 months. Any purchase, transfer, or partner transaction counts as qualifying activity.

Status Points track your progress towards Club Eurostar's elite tiers. They reset at the start of each membership year, based on your join date rather than a calendar year. Once you unlock a tier, it'll be yours for the rest of that membership year and the whole following membership year.

Earning Club Eurostar points

You'll earn Rewards Points on the base fare of your ticket, based on the currency you're purchasing tickets in. Members will earn:

  • 1 point per euro
  • 1 point per U.S. dollar
  • 1.2 points per British pound

Booking fees, luggage charges, and exchange fees earn no points. The only way to earn points beyond train tickets is through Eurostar Train + Hotel packages. The lead passenger earns points at half the standard rate (so 0.5 points per $1 spent).

Based on current exchange rates, the U.S. dollar is the best currency to buy Eurostar tickets in if you're trying to maximize points. Elite members earn a bonus on top of the base rate:

  • Avantage: 25% bonus
  • Carte Blanche: 50% bonus
  • Étoile: 75% bonus

Transfer options exist for travelers, but aren't super appealing:

Redeeming Club Eurostar points

You can redeem Club Eurostar points for reward tickets, ticket discounts, and seat upgrades.

Most people redeem for reward tickets, and Club Eurostar uses a published award chart (yay!), with three cabins: Standard, Plus, and Premier. Value and Anytime award fares are available on London routes. Value fares are available on every trip, but are subject to capacity controls.

The best value comes from a Value Standard reward on a peak-date London-to-Paris or Brussels trip, where cash fares can often exceed $200 one way. That can return a 15-20 cents per point redemption rate for travelers.

Reward tickets incur no taxes or fees, and Club Eurostar allows one free exchange before departure. Anytime rewards stay bookable until the train sells out.

Upcoming Eurostar devaluation

Purchases made on or after October 29, 2026, for London-route rewards are rising by 10% across the board. A Value Standard ticket will increase to 1,100 points, and Value Plus goes up to 2,200 points. Meanwhile, Anytime Standard rises to 1,650, Anytime Plus to 2,750, and Anytime Premier to 3,300.

Luckily, routes that avoid London are unchanged. If you have a London trip on the horizon and enough points, booking before that date locks in the lower rate.

Other ways of redeeming Eurostar Points

Beyond reward tickets, you can use your points in a variety of ways:

  • Cash-and-points discounts let you save on a paid booking, starting around 170 points for $5 off and topping out at $30 per booking. That works out to roughly three cents per point, well below the value a full award ticket delivers on most routes.
  • Seat upgrades from Standard to Eurostar Plus cost 600 points per person each way on an existing booking, as long as Plus seats are on sale. After October 29, Eurostar introduces Value and Anytime upgrades on London routes for 650 and 900 points, respectively.
  • Share points with another member in blocks of 100 from 500 to 3,600 points at a time, up to 7,500 points a year. A family can pool balances into one account.

Club Eurostar Status

Club Eurostar has three tiers of elite status above the entry-level Classique: Avantage, Carte Blanche, and Étoile:

  • Reach Avantage after earning 500 Status Points. Avantage members earn a 25% bonus on redeemable points from ticket sales, plus one Standard-to-Plus upgrade voucher per year. You'll also be able to travel on the Eurostar train before or after the one you booked, for free, excluding routes to and from London.
  • Reach Carte Blanche after earning 2,900 Status Points — quite a leap from Avantage. Carte Blanche members will earn a 50% bonus on redeemable points earned from ticket sales. In addition to Avantage benefits, members will also have access to Eurostar Premier Lounges in London, Paris, and Brussels, and Railteam lounges throughout Europe. You'll also have access to fast-track gates in London, Paris, or Brussels, and priority access to call centers.
  • Reach top-tier Étoile when you earn 5,000 Status Points. Étoile members receive all the benefits of Carte Blanche, plus two companion vouchers each membership year and access to exclusive Club Eurostar events. You'll also be able to travel on any Eurostar train to your destination on the day of your booking, excluding routes to and from London.

If you're based in Europe and can reach elite status, these benefits are worth it.

Is Club Eurostar Worth It?

For the occasional traveler taking one European trip a year, it likely won't matter whether you're a Club Eurostar member. However, membership is free, points don't expire unless you have two years of inactivity, and a single London to Paris round trip in Eurostar Plus earns enough for a decent discount next time.

For frequent riders, especially anyone crossing the Channel often for work, Club Eurostar is one of Europe's better rail programs. The earning rate is transparent, reward tickets have no fees, and Carte Blanche lounge access can make the travel day easier.

If you fall somewhere in between, the smartest move is to earn on every ticket, pool the family's balances into one account if traveling together, and cash out for a Value Standard reward on a peak-date London departure on a future trip.
