UPDATE: We've extended the deadline through February 14, 2017.
On February 1, 2017, the price of an AwardWallet Plus membership is increasing from $5 for six months to $30 for one year.
Why Are We Increasing the Price of AwardWallet Plus?
For many years we’ve avoided any price increase, but it has become necessary to maintain the high quality of the AwardWallet website and mobile apps for our expanding member base, which as of December 2016 is over 443,000 people globally.
AwardWallet has been around for 12 years and in the past five years alone we’ve:
- Added support for 250+ additional loyalty programs (supporting over 680 total today)
- Created dedicated teams for our iOS & Android apps
- Continued to offer a feature-rich product at no cost
The good news is that we are grandfathering anyone who has ever paid for AwardWallet Plus before February 1, 2017, as long as you maintain an AwardWallet Plus subscription going forward.
How To Keep AwardWallet Plus at $10/year
To keep AwardWallet Plus for $10/year, activate a subscription on the payment page within your AwardWallet profile.
If your account is currently at the Plus tier, you still need to activate your subscription; however, you will not be charged until the day your AwardWallet Plus converts to a Free account. On that day you'll be charged $10 to extend your AwardWallet Plus membership for another year.
What If I Already Have AwardWallet Plus?
The account below is an example of an AwardWallet Plus profile at the Plus tier through March 1, 2019. By subscribing today, the owner will not be billed today, but rather on March 1, 2019, when their Plus tier expires extending their Plus membership by 1 year.
Note: If your account is currently at the AwardWallet Plus tier and you have never paid for AwardWallet Plus (e.g. you have only upgraded using coupons), you must activate your subscription before February 1, 2017, to be locked in at the $10/year price. You will not be charged until the day your Plus account converts to a Free account.
What Happens If My Plus Membership Lapses?
If your AwardWallet Plus membership lapses, your account will be converted to an AwardWallet Free account. An upgrade to AwardWallet Plus at that point would be $30/year
Thank You For Supporting AwardWallet
We truly appreciate your support, without you, we would not have made it this far with AwardWallet! Thank you very much.

I am a new customer to this. Are there any discount codes to try before buy? Thanks in advance
new customers get 3 months of AwardWallet Plus for free once they join.
There has always been discount codes, are there anymore? Have been using for a while and would like to keep using. Great app
There are certainly codes available, however, you’ll find most publicly available ones are for first-time upgraders only. You’ll need to pay or find someone with a 6-month upgrade coupon that they’ll give you to you.
Are there any plans to reintroduce the $10 annual fee? I love Awardwallet but not at the current price point of $30 per year, but I would certainly sign up for $10/year. Just my consumer opinion.
The $10 annual fee was grandfathered to anyone that had an active subscription. Sorry, you’re not thrilled with the price point, but we feel it more accurately represents the resources we allocate towards providing a great service. As a whole, the community has been accepting of the increase in price and feel it is worth it.
I Agree with Jonathan. As a rooky miles collector, who has a tons of mileage plans but zero benefits from having few miles spread everywhere, AwardWallet was supposed to be the tool to help me get my miles in order and start actually accruing those for some meaningful gain in the very long run. It doesnt come easy. I have to track the miles expirations, find crfeative ways to extend expiration periods until i can accrue more miles through a flight or other means, and so on.
AwardWallet was supposed to be the tool that actually makes getting this reward a bit easier, but again, it is just a potential reward at this stage, and for the long term.
Now charging a stiff price of $30/year for the service, looks exxagerated to me. I’ll probably have to spend another few years of paying awardwallet until i get some cheapo free flight, which pretty much will be eaten up by the awardwallet annual membership costs.
So considering a potential long term reward versus an immediate and annually recurring expense, It does not make any sense.
$30 is just too stiff for user like me, and i’m sure that most of your 500k members are users like me too.
So think about it, you just locked out most of your customers out. Sorry. Bad Move. And grandfathering trick you did, is just delaying seeing this on your reports this year.
I’m sorry you feel this way. We’ve received overwhelming support for our pricing and a tiny minority that feel the price increase was unwarranted.
How do I subscribe via email?
Subscribe to what?
Darn just missed this offer. Just got my new credit card and was looking around for such a service. Just my luck that when i finally ran across this website i see the price went up threefold and i just missed it by a few days. 🙁
It shows I already have a subscription
Then you’re good to go.
I already have plus membership, paid one. Do I need to do anything to keep the old price?
Yes, you need to ensure you have a subscription. Go here: https://awardwallet.com/user/pay and create a subscription. You won’t pay as you already have a Plus membership, but when you’re set to expire, you’ll be auto-billed.
I guess it’s a good time to join the Plus membership!
Couple of questions:
– Can I also get a free update code? My understanding is that they are used to try the service?
– My wife also has an awardwallet account, and her rewards accounts are showing up on mine (we are managing our points in a “sharing” view). Do we need 2 Plus memberships, or will I get all the benefits on her rewards accounts too?
Thanks!
If you’ve already had a Plus membership the code I supply won’t upgrade you again — it is for first time users only. When you sign up you’re actually given 3 months of Plus service complimentary.
A Plus membership is tied to an AwardWallet account. If you have two different AwardWallet accounts, regardless of the number of loyalty accounts, you’ll need upgrade both to Plus if you want Plus features on both.
Even with the price increase, AwardWallet provides a valuable service for what is really a very nominal fee….compared to the service charges airlines tack on to everything, the membership fee pays for itself pretty quickly, even if you only fly 1-2x per year….or if you are prone to forget/lose track of your various accounts.
I depend on Award Wallet and I automatically renew my plus account every time it’s due. I am greatful for the grandfathered pricing and I also think the new pricing is still worthwhile (and I’ve tried others but none are as good as Award Wallet.
Hope to see the money invested into security. Even though I haven’t had a bad experience, it only takes one to bring things down.
Matt, we take security VERY seriously. I used to work in mobile device/app security, and while I don’t do that here at AwardWallet, I was impressed with what we do from a security perspective. Standouts are identified in our FAQ: https://awardwallet.com/faqs#10
The value I get from your site is worth much more to me than the $5 cost (not saying I’m opposed to the grandfathering, though!). Best of luck to you all, and thanks for building such greatness.
[…] in February 2017, AwardWallet will be tripling its price, from $5 every 6 months to $30 every 12 months (HT to Doctor of Credit). I still believe it’s […]
I think its a fair price – given what you provide to us!
I really love your service and I think it is the best. I do have one quetion, I’m assuming that United and Delta will not automatically updated?
Kevin, United, Delta and Southwest will not automatically update on their own. You’ll need to forward monthly statements or have AwardWallet process your statements/transactions via your custom AwardWallet mailbox (the address is listed if you view your United/Delta/Southwest accounts within AwardWallet)
[…] AwardWallet, que é um serviço online de gerenciamento de contas de programas de milhagens, anunciou, em seu blog, que irá aumentar o preço do serviço pago, dos atuais USD 10 anuais (divididos em duas […]
I still believe that you’re worth $30/yr. That’s still a great price with all the monitoring you guys do! I have gone through the Plus options and I still don’t need all the extras, right now. It’s awesome that you’re grandfathering in people! Is it staying that way until you forget or don’t renew for the $10/yr? It’s tempting to get it now if I keep it going and not have to go to the higher price as long as I remember to renew every year. It’s a lot of work and info for the price so I see the benefit. I love that I’m able to monitor too without paying just muted benefits right now. I also belong to points.com and just love your service more!
Karen, the $10 price is a grandfathered in rate as long as you maintain an active subscription of AwardWallet Plus. You’ll need to initiate a subscription before February 1, 2017, to get that price; otherwise, it’ll jump to $30. If you let your Plus subscription lapse and look to reinstate it in the future, after February 1, 2017, your price will be $30/year.
With the subscription you don’t need to remember each year, we simply bill you on the day your subscription expires.
Hmm I guess the price increase was inevitable, but since I can still lock in the old rate, I got no issues with this.
Please let us keep the old rate for a long time!
Anyway to help get airlines like united back onboard? I can deal with the password compromise you made with american airlines
We’d love to be able to — United, Delta, and Southwest are all at the top of our wish list.
That’s a pretty steep price increase…
I guess it is all relative. While yes, it is a 200% increase, we think it more accurately represents the value our product and services provide, and hope you agree with that.
Appreciate the grandfathering in, but also don’t mind the price raising. One of the hardest questions for startups is how to price, but one bit of consensus I’ve heard on this topic is that startups usually ask for too little rather than too much, so kudos on you for valuing your great service more than the frankly too-little we were paying for it.
The grandfathering is a great idea and offsets the pain of a price increase. If only everywhere did this when they increased their prices.
glad I’m already a paying member
Great deal on the grandfathered rate, AW is well worth the money!
I usually use google play to pay my subscrition. This option isn’t available as a subscrition payment in advance. What should I do? Open to suggestions
Axel, you will be able to create a subscription at the $10 per year level via GooglePay within 1 month after your current AwardWallet Plus expires (grace period) — or you can create a subscription via the website right now using a credit card. Keep in mind, if you create the subscription now using the website, you won’t be billed until your current AwardWallet Plus expires.
Is there any way to make AwardWallet accept Google Play credit from gift cards as a subscription payment? It says not eligible on the app. Thank you!
This is possible. You’ll want to make sure the gift card has been applied to your Google Play account. Then when you go to make the purchase, it should pull from those funds.
If you do run into any problems with any in-app purchase, feel free to reference help within the app to troubleshoot the problem or reach out to support directly via the Contact Us page (https://awardwallet.com/contact)
After digging a bit more, it appears that the only subscriptions you can use a Google Play balance for are Music and Newsstand subscriptions.

My account is good until 2028 due to referral signs ups, so I do not have to be concerned.
Glad to hear it — thank you for all the referrals
thanks for the old rate!
i have found value in this product and will be upgrading this week.
Thanks for grandfathering. I wish you guys lots of success as this site is in my list of top 5 travel tools.
Thanks Craig!
Very much appreciate be grandfathered!
Thanks for keeping the grandfathered rate!
What are the advantages of Plus membership?
Check it out here: https://awardwallet.com/faqs#21
just know this wesite this year love it.
I’ve already done the payment for the future date.
At 10$ of course 😉
[…] has sent out an e-mail (and written a blog post) letting users know they are increasing the price for their paid plan on February 1st, 2017 to $30 […]
Truthfully, $30/year for this service is still well worth it. But honoring existing customers and keeping them at $10/year shows that loyalty truly is rewarded and that AwardWallet cares about us. If only some of the airline and hotel loyalty execs would act the same way!
Thanks for your support!
Still a good deal for the service provided.
We think so 🙂 Glad you agree.
The price increase is well worth the added cost but thank you for grandfathering us in at the old price! Awardwallet does great work and I don’t know where I’d be in the points/miles game without your excellent tool to help me keep track of it all! I even bought a Plus subscription for my SO, now if I can just get her to take the points/miles game as seriously as I do. $18k worth of points and miles this year alone and Awardwallet helped me keep tabs on all of it!
Love the site, and I understand the price changes.
For a while you would release little batches of free update codes…is there any way to get one of those? Regrettably I joined after them.
You’ve got email.
If I wasn’t convinced before, your email made me be a paying member (on a cashback card no less). Thanks so much!
I assume this is a recurring charge every year?
Yes, $10/year. Thanks for the support!
What are the update codes for?
He meant “upgrade” codes to upgrade to AwardWallet Plus for period of time — clarified it over email.
Thank you for the clarification. Can I share in the holiday cheer as well? 😉
You have got mail.
Thank you for grandfathering in early supporters at the discounted rate.
Are there any codes left? 🙂
Glad to have you. Check your email.
What are the update codes for?
Very generous to grandfather-in existing Plus users; thank you!
We’re thankful for anyone that has supported us; we felt it was the right thing to do.
