World of Hyatt has long been my favorite award program. With strong redemption options worldwide and top-tier Globalist status, my family has used Hyatt stays to save significantly over the past decade — all while creating lasting memories along the way.

Hyatt's award pricing has been rather straightforward to understand, especially compared to other hotel loyalty programs. Currently, there are three pricing tiers across eight categories of standard hotels and resorts, along with separate award charts for all-inclusive properties and its premium Miraval brand. Plus, Hyatt offers award charts for premium rooms, standard suites, premium suites, points-and-cash rates, and points upgrades on paid nights.

All of that is changing on May 20, 2026, when Hyatt is raising award rates and adding two more tiers to its charts. We've included the new pricing for each award category in our breakdown below.

Here's your guide to Hyatt award charts.

Hyatt Award Chart Groups

Rather than thinking about Hyatt’s award chart strictly by category, it’s helpful to group hotels based on how free night certificates can be used. These certificates are tied to specific category ranges and can shape how you plan your redemptions within the World of Hyatt program.

Category 1-4 (most common free night certificates)

Hyatt Category 1–4 hotels represent the most accessible end of Hyatt’s award chart. These properties can range from Hyatt Place and Hyatt House locations in smaller markets to resorts in popular destinations like Orlando.

This is an important group to understand because Category 1-4 certificates are the easiest to earn. World of Hyatt members can earn Hyatt Category 1-4 certificates after reaching 30 elite nights annually and through Hyatt's Brand Explorer program. Plus, cardholders of The World of Hyatt Credit Card receive one each year and can earn an additional certificate by spending $15,000 on the card in a calendar year.

Category 1–7 (Milestone Rewards free night certificate)

The Category 1–7 range comes into play with Hyatt’s Milestone Rewards. After reaching 60 elite nights, you’ll earn a free night certificate that's valid at any Category 1–7 property.

Category 8, Miraval and all-inclusive resorts (free night anywhere)

At the top end of the program are Category 8 hotels, along with Miraval and Hyatt’s all-inclusive resorts (which use separate award pricing). These represent some of Hyatt’s most premium redemption options.

After reaching 150 elite nights in a calendar year, Hyatt offers a “Free Night Anywhere” certificate. This can be used at any standard room across the program, including Category 8 properties, Miraval resorts, and all-inclusive locations.

Standard Award Charts

Now, let's dig into Hyatt's award charts, starting with Standard Awards.

Hyatt lets travelers redeem points to book directly into premium suites. These could range from a suite with a nicer view, all the way up to the Presidential Suite at some properties. All-Inclusive Resorts

Hyatt has grown its all-inclusive business exponentially in the last decade, especially throughout the Caribbean and Mexico. All-inclusive resorts can be a great way to control trip costs. The public award chart includes pricing for standard rooms, club rooms, standard suites, and premium suites, along with rates for additional guests beyond two adults.

Miraval

Miraval properties are one of our favorite redemptions in the World of Hyatt program. The four properties in Arizona, Texas, Massachusetts, and now Saudi Arabia offer a special experience that includes gourmet food, as well as an impressive slate of activities. Plus, every award night comes with a $175 resort credit per person. Let's take a look at what it takes to stay here.

Points & Cash Rates

On occasion, Hyatt properties may offer points and cash rates to offset award pricing. This can be helpful in some circumstances, but we generally don't recommend redeeming for these rates, as they often are a poor value. Plus, cash rates are hard to come by — I'm always shocked to find one available during my award searches. You can view these charts on Hyatt's website for current rates, as well as the updated rates for program changes in May 2026.

Room Upgrades on Paid Nights

Currently, it's possible to upgrade a cash night at a Hyatt property to a better room with points. You'll have to contact Hyatt at 1-800-544-9288 to apply the points per night. Currently, it costs 3,000 points per night to upgrade to a club room, 6,000 points per night for a suite upgrade, and 9,000 points per night for a premium suite upgrade.

Keep in mind, availability may vary for this perk. This section is conspicuously absent from the announced changes to the program, so it may be going away in May 2026.

Bottom Line

Hyatt currently offers incredible value across its program, but with the recent changes announced to the program, some of that value is going away. Still, travelers who can align their stays with off-peak pricing may continue to find strong value in the program.
