Travelers can use points to book various Disney Tokyo Hotels near Tokyo Disney Sea and Tokyo Disneyland, including official Tokyo Disney resort hotels and other nearby options. Today, we’ll examine the perks offered at three different properties, as well as how to earn points to book these hotels near Tokyo Disney.

Hotels Near Tokyo Disney
On-property Disney resorts around the world offer exclusive early entry into the parks. In Japan, Tokyo Disneyland Resorts like the Tokyo DisneySea MiraCosta and The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel offer only a meager fifteen minutes of “Happy Entry” — the lowest early entry offering of any Disney Resorts in the world.
Early entry is one of the main perks that warrant staying on property at Walt Disney World or Shanghai Disneyland, where resort guests can arrive 30–60 minutes ahead of everyone else. Because the Tokyo parks only offer 15 minutes, despite notoriously long lines and high crowds, booking a Disney Resort with cash or cashing out credit card points to cover the cost isn’t worth it. Instead, we’re covering properties bookable with hotel loyalty points.

Two Types of Hotels
Off-property hotels near Tokyo Disney fall into two categories: official Tokyo Disney hotel resorts and all the other hotels. At Official Tokyo Disney Hiltons and Marriotts, guests enjoy perks like park shuttles and guaranteed admission purchases onsite.
Booking with points at Hilton or Marriott might not provide great value, because getting the most value out of either involves booking five nights and getting the fifth night free (though only those with Hilton status can get the fifth night free on award stays, but getting Hilton status is rather easy).
Unfortunately, people typically don’t stay five days at the Tokyo parks. With only two parks to visit — one of which is a Disneyland California replica — a two-day, three-night trip seems to suffice. Furthermore, the Disney parks aren’t actually in Tokyo; they’re in nearby Urayasa. Because the hotels we’ll cover today aren’t central to Tokyo, booking a stay at one of them for an entire Tokyo trip would ensure long commutes into the city.
Let’s consider the possibilities of booking two of these properties with points: either the Hilton Tokyo Bay or Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay.
Official Tokyo Disney Hotel #1: Hilton Tokyo Bay
The Hilton Tokyo Bay sits adjacent to the Tokyo Disney parks. Guests enjoy views of the bay, Disney shopping onsite, and walking or taking free transportation to the parks in a matter of minutes. Two main strategies to book an award stay at Hilton properties include using Free Night Rewards or booking with points. Room rates assume double occupancy; adding more than two adults increases the price incrementally per adult and adds a bed for them. Anyone five years old or under is considered a child. Adding children to the room does not increase the price of the room, but it also doesn't add a bed for them.

Booking Hilton Tokyo Bay using free nights
Booking with a Hilton Free Night Reward might make sense for large groups. These free nights hold immense value, because you can use them to book any standard room at nearly any Hilton property — no matter the price! You just need to find standard room availability, not peak pricing (which tends to happen as rooms sell out). Keep in mind that you redeem Hilton Free Night Certificates by calling Hilton.
Booking Hilton Tokyo Bay with points
In the winter months (January to March), you may find standard rooms that sleep two or three starting at less than 40,000 Hilton Honors points per night. Remember, the weather can be extremely cold and rainy in Tokyo this time of year. If you can find award prices that low, however, you could book a family of two or three for less than 120,00 points for a three-night stay.
The cash price of these rooms hovers just above $140 per night.

For the rest of the year, rooms that sleep two, three, or four start around 80,000 points each night. A three-night stay would average 240,000 points.
For most of the year, a suite sleeping a family of five starts at 152,000 points nightly. That would cost 456,000 Hilton points for a family of five staying here for three nights.
Earning Hilton points and free night rewards
Several credit cards earn Hilton points, offering everything from basic perks with no annual fee to top-notch perks and an annual fee north of $500.
The Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card offers top-tier Diamond status as a built-in benefit, as well as hundreds of dollars in annual credits for travel expenses. The card also offers a Free Night Reward annually, as well as opportunities to pick up two more through spending on the card. As a new applicant, you also can pick up 150,000 bonus points after you make $6,000 in eligible purchases within the first 6 months .
At the other end of the spectrum, the Hilton Honors American Express Card has no annual fee (Rates & Fees) but provides entry-level Silver status that unlocks the fifth-night-free benefit discussed above. New applicants can earn 80,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after you spend $2,000 in purchases in the first 6 months of Card Membership.
Official Tokyo Disney Hotel #2: Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel
The Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel, a Marriott property, sits next door to the Hilton Tokyo Bay and offers similar views, shopping, and transportation perks, as well as the same guaranteed admission purchasing options. Like Hilton, you can book Marriott award stays multiple ways: using Marriott Bonvoy points or free nights.

Booking Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay using free nights
Marriott free nights certificates come in all shapes and sizes. Cardholders with 35,000-point awards won’t ever find rooms to book with these awards at the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay. That's because the ability to add up to 15,000 points to these awards still won't reach the 60,000+ points per night you'll need here. Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card cardholders, on the other hand, might consider using their annual free night certificates worth 85,000 points here, provided the cash price of the room runs high enough to make it worth the value.
The Marriott certificates we could see working best at this property are those worth up to 50,000 points (we'll cover cards that earn these certificates below). Remember, you can top off these awards with up to 15,000 points per night, so look for rooms costing up to 65,000 points per night.
The Marriott calendar in spring and summer shows multiple weeks where you could book three consecutive nights with topped-off 50,000 points certificates. Looking at the fall calendar and through the holidays, however, rooms rarely fall below 66,000 points per night.
Unlike the Hilton Tokyo Bay, the price per room does not increase with each adult added:

Earning Marriott free night certificates
The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card and Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card offer a free night worth up to 35,000 points. For the Marriott Bonvoy Business Card, the free night is earned after spending $60,000 in a calendar year, while the Marriott Boundless awards the benefit on each account anniversary with no spending requirement. You can also earn a free night worth up to 50,000 points by spending $15,000 in a year on either the Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful™ Card or Marriott Bonvoy Bevy® American Express® Card.
Moreover, the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card and Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card regularly alternate between offering points and 50,000-point free night awards as their welcome bonuses to new applicants.
Booking Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay using Marriott Bonvoy® points
Much like the Hilton, the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay offers the lowest rates in the winter.
The lowest rate in January 2024 is 52,000 points per night to sleep up to four adults in one room, and the lowest price for three nights would cost 164,000 Marriott points (58,000 + 54,000 + 52,000).
For the rest of the year, rates range between 58,000 and 94,000 points per night.
This property doesn't appear to offer award suites sleeping five, so families of five would need to book two rooms. Accordingly, a family of five should expect to pay 328,000 Marriott points to stay here.
Earning the Marriott points needed to book stays or top off free night awards
Marriott Bonvoy has numerous credit cards, and the welcome offer from any of these could go a long way toward booking a Tokyo Disney hotel stay on points:
- Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card: Earn 60,000 bonus points + 1 Free Night Award after spending $2,000 on eligible purchases within the first 3 months of account opening. Free Night Award valued up to 50,000 points. Certain hotels have resort fees.
- Marriott Bonvoy Bevy® American Express® Card: Earn up to 135,000 Marriott Bonvoy® bonus points. Earn 85,000 points after you spend $5,000 and an extra 50,000 points after you spend an additional $2,000 in purchases on the Card within your first 6 months of Card Membership.
- Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card: Earn up to 150,000 Marriott Bonvoy® bonus points. Earn 100,000 points after you spend $6,000 and an extra 50,000 points after you spend an additional $2,000 in purchases on the Card within your first 6 months of Card Membership.
Another Nearby Option: Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay
The Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay in Urayasa is less than a 15-minute drive from the parks and offers a free shuttle that runs all day. You can book rooms here with Hyatt points or a Category 1–4 free night award.
What this property lacks in proximity and perks, it makes up for in cost. Rooms that sleep two adults (plus one child on the sofa) cost between 12,000 and 18,000 Hyatt points per night, depending on the peak/off-peak calendar.
Hyatt's top-tier Globalist status will earn you free breakfast in the club here. Another alternative would be booking club rooms for only 6,000 additional points per night, ensuring unlimited club access for your entire stay.
A traveling party of two adults plus one child could book three nights here for as little as 36,000 Hyatt points. Additionally, assuming one small child, a family of up to five people could book two club rooms for three nights for a price between 108,000 and 144,000 Hyatt points. Club access includes complimentary breakfast in the club, as well as a light evening meal.
Earning World of Hyatt points and free night awards
It's possible to earn World of Hyatt points on both the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card and The World of Hyatt Credit Card. The latter includes a Category 1–4 free night award each year you hold the card, plus another if you spend $15,000 or more on purchases in a year.
But you also can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt, meaning you can indirectly earn Hyatt points with cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card.
- Earn up to 60,000 Bonus Points. Earn 30,000 Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in your first 3 months from account opening. Plus, up to 30,000 more Bonus Points by earning 2 Bonus Points total per $1 spent in the first 6 months from account opening on purchases that normally earn 1 Bonus Point, on up to $15,000 spent.
- Enjoy complimentary World of Hyatt Discoverist status for as long as your account is open.
- Get 1 free night each year after your Cardmember anniversary at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel or resort
- Receive 5 tier qualifying night credits towards status after account opening, and each year after that for as long as your account is open
- Earn an extra free night at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel if you spend $15,000 in a calendar year
- Earn 2 qualifying night credits towards tier status every time you spend $5,000 on your card
- Earn up to 9 points total for Hyatt stays - 4 Bonus Points per $1 spent on qualified purchases at Hyatt hotels & up to 5 Base Points per $1 from Hyatt as a World of Hyatt member
- Earn 2 Bonus Points per $1 spent at restaurants, on airline tickets purchased directly from the airlines, on local transit and commuting and on fitness club and gym memberships
- Member FDIC
- Rates & Fees
- Up to 9X points total per $1 spent at Hyatt - 4X points per $1 when you use your card at Hyatt hotels & 5X points per $1 you can earn as a World of Hyatt member
- 2X points per $1 spent at restaurants, on airlines tickets purchased directly from the airlines, on local transit and commuting and on fitness club and gym memberships
- 1X point per $1 everywhere else
Bottom Line
There’s no need to pay for a Disney resort in exchange for only fifteen extra minutes in the park each morning. With these three properties to choose from, you’re bound to find a great option for an award stay using points on your trip to Tokyo Disneyland.
