Wyndham Diamond Benefits
Wyndham Diamond might not pack the same punch as other popular top-tier elite statuses. Still, there are plenty of reasons Wyndham Diamond status is worth achieving. Here's a look at the benefits you can enjoy after reaching Wyndham's highest rank.

Suite upgrades
Even on award nights, Diamond members can enjoy space-available upgrades to suites at Wyndham properties. There's exclusivity with this benefit, as Diamonds are Wyndham's only status tier eligible for suite upgrades.
Earn more Wyndham Rewards points
As a Diamond, you'll earn 20% more Wyndham Rewards points on top of your base earnings on qualifying stays. The bonus earnings stack on top of Wyndham's go get em' guarantee of 10 base points per $1 spent on the room rate or 1,000 points — whichever is more.

Welcome amenity at check-in
On qualifying stays at participating properties, Wyndham will offer a complimentary snack or beverage.
Gift Wyndham Rewards Gold status
Once per calendar year, you can give the gift of Gold status to a friend or family member. Gold status is one step above enrollment-tier Blue status, and this tier is otherwise achievable after earning five qualifying nights.
Complimentary rental car upgrades
At participating locations in the U.S. and Canada, you can get one free upgrade on rental car reservations made through Avis or Budget. Information on how to cash in your upgrade can be found in your Wyndham member account.
Status match to Caesars Rewards
As a Wyndham Diamond, you can status match to Caesars Rewards Diamond status to enjoy perks at 30+ casino destinations (including savings on room rates, waived resort fees, and more).
While Caesars made restrictions to these status matches in 2022, Wyndham Diamond earned from stays or automatic status via a credit card is still eligible. However, attaining Wyndham Diamond by matching from another hotel loyalty program (or Caesars Rewards) can't then be used to match to Caesars Rewards.
Early check-in, late checkout
Depending on availability, Wyndham will let you check in when you arrive early and check out two hours after the hotel's standard check-out time.
Preferred room choice
You can request a room as long as it's in the same category as the room you originally booked.
More member benefits
As a Wyndham Rewards member, you also can enjoy a few more benefits:
- Qualifying nights roll over to the next calendar year
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
- Dedicated member services phone number

How To Get Wyndham Diamond Status
Of all the top-tier hotel statuses, Wyndham Diamond is one of the easiest to reach, courtesy of numerous ways to earn it. It's also one of the few programs that dole out top-tier elite status as a credit card benefit.
Qualifying nights
You can earn Diamond status by spending 40 qualifying nights within the calendar year at Wyndham properties.
You'll accrue one qualifying night for each night spent at Wyndham, with an average rate of at least $25 per night. Go free and go fast award nights also count as qualifying nights. However, paid nights that don't earn Wyndham Rewards points will not count as qualifying nights.
Wyndham Diamond status match
If you have status with another hotel loyalty program, you can request a Wyndham Diamond status match. You'll enjoy complimentary status for 90 days, but you can keep your Diamond status by staying 10 qualifying nights at a Wyndham property within the three-month trial period.
After you complete the status challenge, Diamond status is yours until December 31 of the calendar year following the calendar year in which you earned the 10 qualifying nights.
Presently, you can request a Wyndham Diamond status match if you have the following hotel statuses:
- Best Western Rewards: Diamond Select
- Choice Privileges: Diamond
- Hilton Honors: Gold, Diamond
- IHG One Rewards: Platinum Elite, Diamond Elite
- Marriott Bonvoy: Gold Elite, Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite, Ambassador Elite
- Omni Select Guest: Black
- Radisson Rewards: VIP
- World of Hyatt: Globalist

The Wyndham Earner Business Card also can make the bonus points you earn on Wyndham stays as a Diamond member more rewarding by helping them go further. As a perk of the card, you'll save 10% on Wyndham Rewards redemptions.
- 8X points on Hotels by Wyndham and gas purchases
- 5X points on marketing, advertising, and utility purchases
- 1X on all other purchases (excluding Wyndham timeshare down payments)
Even better, the points discount on awards redemptions extends to Vacasa bookings, which means you can book vacation homes for 13,500 Wyndham Rewards points per bedroom per night — an amazing deal.

Is It Worth Earning Wyndham Diamond?
Given how easy it is to earn, Wyndham Diamond status should be on the radar of anyone who stays at a Wyndham property a few times each year. The perks you'll enjoy as a status holder are sufficient, but they're not top-of-the-line compared to those available in other hotel loyalty programs.
By reaching Diamond, you'll earn even more points on Wyndham stays, boosting you ever closer to your next free night at a Wyndham property or a Vacasa vacation rental home. The 10% discount on award nights makes redeeming points even sweeter, providing another incentive to earn Wyndham Rewards points.
If Wyndham Diamond status has caught your eye, you'll want to consider the $95-annual-fee Wyndham Earner Business Card. There's no cheaper way to earn Wyndham Diamond status, and the card should prove to be a worthwhile addition to your wallet year after year. As a cardholder, you'll earn 15,000 bonus points annually, which is good for two free award nights at Wyndham's lowest redemption tier or one award night at a mid-tier property. Even better, there are plenty more perks on offer with the Wyndham Earner Business Card.
Final Thoughts
There's a lot of value in Wyndham Diamond status. If you regularly stay at Wyndham Rewards properties or are looking for a new loyalty program of choice, don't overlook Wyndham. Its top-tier status is easy to earn and rewarding to keep.
