This summer, select Chase United cardholders can earn up to 2,000 bonus miles by making purchases through digital wallets. Targeted cardholders must register by July 31, 2025, and then make eligible purchases within the following three months.
It’s a nice little promotion that lets cardholders pick up some extra miles on everyday spending while encouraging the use of a digital wallet. Here are the details.
Earn up to 2k Bonus Miles on Eligible United Card Purchases
Chase has emailed targeted United co-branded cardholders about this promotion, so if you missed it when it arrived, it might be buried in your inbox. That email holds the key to picking up some bonus United MileagePlus miles.
After registering by July 31, eligible cardholders can earn 1,500 bonus miles by making payments with a digital wallet over a three-month period. Supported wallets include Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
To earn your bonus miles, you’ll need to make at least five purchases each month from July through September using your digital wallet. Once you’ve completed all qualifying purchases, you’ll receive 1,500 bonus miles, which will be posted to your account within 6–8 weeks.
No minimum spend is mentioned, so you should be able to earn the bonus miles simply by making five coffee or similar small purchases each month using your United card through a digital wallet. Just keep in mind that eligible purchases must post to your card by the end of each calendar month. To be safe, consider making your purchases a few days before month’s end to ensure the merchant charges your card in time.
The promotion does not clearly specify which Chase United cards are targeted. It mentions “new cardmembers,” and some cardholders with older accounts have reported being unable to register.

500 bonus miles when subscribing to emails
If eligible cardholders opt in to MileagePlus partner email communications, they can earn an additional 500 bonus miles. You must remain opted in for the entire promotional period to receive these bonus miles.
To be safe, it’s probably best to stay opted in until the bonus points have been posted to your account.
