Whether you're a current or prospective Delta Amex Card Member, we've got good news: these cards are getting new benefits and a fresh coat of paint. Better yet, there's no increase to their annual fees, which runs counter to most credit card refreshes we've seen in recent years.

Here's a look at all that's new.

Delta and American Express Enhance SkyMiles Cards

Delta's partnership with American Express spans more than 30 years, and to celebrate the milestone, SkyMiles Card Members now have even more reasons to keep their cards in their wallets — or apply for one for the first time.

The modest list of enhancements detailed below are all live effective today, June 4, 2026.

Expanded bag benefits

Chief among the new additions is an enhancement to an existing perk.

Instead of just a first checked bag free, the following cards will now receive a complimentary second checked bag on U.S. domestic Delta-operated flights.

This benefit also extends to up to eight additional companions traveling on the same reservation.

Unfortunately, this expanded baggage benefit doesn't apply to the no-annual-fee Delta SkyMiles® Blue American Express Card(Rates & Fees). But given that Delta increased checked bag fees earlier this year, semi-frequent Delta travelers now have even more incentive to carry a Delta card with an annual fee.

New rideshare credit for two cards

In addition to expanded baggage benefits, Delta Gold Card and Delta Gold Business Amex Card Members will receive access to a $120 annual rideshare credit, available at renewal for current Card Members or upon account opening for new Card Members. Enrollment is required for select Amex benefits.

This benefit provides up to $10 in monthly statement credits on eligible U.S. rideshare services, including Uber, Lyft, Curb, and Alto.

A fresh coat of paint

Last but not least, Delta and American Express have given the entire SkyMiles credit card lineup a fresh new look. Each card has been redesigned, including the introduction of a new Slate Grey colorway for the Delta Reserve and Business Delta Reserve.

Bottom Line

Few things are better than a card refresh that adds new benefits without increasing the annual fee or taking away existing perks. That's exactly what Delta and American Express have delivered here.

If you're already a Card Member, these additions provide even more value and may make it easier to justify renewing your card for another year. And if you've been on the fence about picking up a Delta SkyMiles card, the new benefits could be enough to tip the scales in its favor.
