Alaska Airlines offers elite status challenges for targeted Mileage Plan members each year. Through 2025, select employees can earn up to MVP Gold 75K status days after completing just 10 trips. We've uncovered dozens of eligible companies, but additional companies are also likely targeted.
Here are the details and why this might be a promotion worth taking advantage of.
Alaska Airlines Status Challenge to MVP Gold 75K Promotion
Alaska Airlines routinely targets employees at dozens of companies with a fast track to Mileage Plan MVP elite status. It's an easy way for the airline to bring new corporate travelers into the fold and a better way for you to travel with more benefits.

Through December 31, 2025, employees of select companies can get a fast track to MVP, MVP Gold, or even MVP Gold 75K status through targeted Alaska Airlines status challenges. First, you need to register for the offer. After registering, receive MVP status for 180 days.

If you want to retain your elite status past the trial period or upgrade to a higher tier, you'll need to complete a required number of round-trip itineraries or flight segments. Here are the requirements:
- Complete 2 round trips or 4 qualifying flight segments to maintain MVP status
- Complete 4 round trips or 8 qualifying flight segments to earn MVP Gold status
- Complete 10 round trips or 20 qualifying flight segments to earn MVP Gold 75K status
If you start the challenge by June 30, 2025, the new status will be valid through the end of the year. If you start your status challenge on or after July 1, 2025, the new status will be valid through the end of 2026 — just like Alaska's general status match for non-corporate travelers.
In other words, it's much better to wait until July to start the challenge — unless you plan to scale back on travel in the second half of the year.

Our Take
Alaska has targeted countless companies with this status challenge offer for 2025. This is now the only way you can earn Mileage Plan Elite status with segments for 2025 and potentially for 2026. If you want to hold your status through 2026, make sure to register for the challenge after July 1, 2025. Otherwise, any status earned after completing the required number of flight segments will be valid only through the end of 2025.
However, if you would prefer to earn Mileage Plan elite status through qualifying miles, you'll want to take advantage of this general status match promotion.
Do you work for any of the companies listed above, or did you receive an email with this offer? Will you be taking advantage of this promotion?
