Hyatt Award Nights Count Towards Elite Status (Starting January 2018)
As of January 1, 2018, free night awards with World of Hyatt will count towards the total number of nights earned towards elite status. Additionally, free nights earned for 30/60 nights during a year will have their validity extended from 120 to 180 days.
Your Driver’s License Is Still Good for Air Travel
If you see signs at the airport indicating you may not be able to travel domestically as of January 22, 2018, you can safely ignore them. As for when you need to be concerned, at this point, we wouldn't bother wasting another second thinking about if you need to replace your current form of ID with something REAL ID compliant.
Discover Ends 5 Card Benefits as of February 28, 2018
As of February 28, 2018, Discover has ended Extended Product Warranty, Return Guarantee, Purchase Protection, Auto Rental Insurance and Flight Accident Insurance as card benefits. However, price protection remains.
JetBlue Award Chart for Flight Redemptions on Hawaiian Airlines
JetBlue has published economy, and business class award charts for redeeming TrueBlue points on Hawaiian Airlines operated flights. While you've been able to redeem TrueBlue points for Hawaiian flights, the price was correlated to the cash cost of the ticket, much like how a JetBlue award is priced, and you'd need to call up get the exact price.
Hyatt Introduces 48-hour Cancellation Policy
As of January 1, 2018, the default cancellation policy for Hyatt reservations changes from 24 to 48 hours. Word of Hyatt Explorist and Globalist members will still be able to cancel within 24 hours, with certain exceptions.
