There's not much time, so we'll cut right to the chase: Delta just launched a flash award sale from the U.S. to select destinations in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, and more. And the prices are reasonable, too, starting around 44,000 SkyMiles round-trip — or 15% fewer SkyMiles if you have an eligible Delta credit card.
Here are the deals we've found that you might want to book before the promotion expires at the end of the day on September 25, 2025.
Delta Flash Award Sale Details
Delta's flash sale won't be here for long. The carrier is advertising that you can book awards at discounted rates “through September 25, 2025,” so this doesn't leave you very long to make travel plans. So, you'll want to act fast if this sale piques your interest.
On top of the short booking window, there are few terms to be aware of. Like most other Delta sales, the sale pricing applies to Delta-operated flights only, and only some Delta destinations have been put on sale.
The cheapest rates are on Basic Economy tickets, so you should be keenly aware of the limitations of booking one of these tickets before making your reservation.

Delta Flash Sale Route Highlights
While this list isn't exclusive, most deals are on routes between Seattle (SEA) and one of Delta's many global destinations. You can find the complete list of routes here, but it's worth checking each individual route as the advertised pricing is often higher than when you click on “Book.”
Here are some examples of round-trip flights on sale:
- Seattle (SEA) to Taipei (SEA) in Basic Economy for 44,000 miles +$41
- 37,400 miles after the 15% cardholder discount
- Seattle (SEA) to Sydney (SYD) in Basic Economy for 66,000 miles +$134
- 56,100 miles after the 15% cardholder discount
- Los Angeles (LAX) to Tokyo (HND) in Basic Economy for 54,000 miles +$52
- 45,900 miles after the 15% cardholder discount
- Los Angeles (LAX) to Brisbane (BNE) in Basic Economy for 40,000 miles +$129
- 34,000 miles after the 15% cardholder discount
- Portland (PDX) to Auckland (AKL) in Basic Economy for 64,000 miles +$102
- 54,400 miles after the 15% cardholder discount

Stack With the Delta TakeOff15 Card Benefit To Save Even More
Delta SkyMiles co-branded credit cardholders can save an extra 15% on award bookings for flights operated by Delta Air Lines. We've seen these savings passed on to award flights found in this award sale, which is welcome news.
Eligible cardholders must save their co-branded card to their SkyMiles profile to take advantage of this benefit. Once you've saved the card to your SkyMiles profile, the 15% discount will appear on eligible itineraries when searching for SkyMiles awards.

Cards that qualify for this discount include:

Boost Your SkyMiles Balance
If you need to top off your SkyMiles balance to book one of these awards, you have plenty of options. You can buy Delta miles, but you could also move points from any of these sources to Delta SkyMiles:
Bottom Line
Delta's flash sale will disappear almost as suddenly as it arrived. In other words, you need to book as soon as possible if you want to take advantage of discounted rates, as it expires at the end of the day on September 25, 2025. But don't move so fast that you overlook which cabin you book your tickets in; the cheapest rates are for basic economy, which has plenty of limitations.
