A FoundersCard membership can make a lot of sense for those who can take advantage of the benefits. Oriented toward entrepreneurs and business owners, FoundersCard is a lifestyle membership program with perks for travel, shopping, small business, and more.
If you've been on the fence about whether FoundersCard is worth it, we've worked out a deal for AwardWallet readers to apply for a three-month free trial of FoundersCard. Let's take a look at what's on offer.

FoundersCard Three-Month Free Trial
The cost of FoundersCard varies depending on the offer, but a new offer for AwardWallet readers provides three months of FoundersCard for free. During this trial, you can test-drive FoundersCard benefits to decide if continuing with a full membership makes sense for you.
FoundersCard typically costs $595 per year plus a one-time $95 activation fee. But you can apply for three months free, then $395 per year with a waived activation fee via code FCAWARD3MO. Note that this offer is for new members only, and applications are subject to approval.
Alternatively, you can sign up for a FoundersCard Elite membership for $995 per year with no activation fee when using the referral code FCELITE2024.
Even the discounted rate of $395 per year is a lot to pay. You'll want to make sure to take advantage of the benefits. Speaking of benefits…
Main FoundersCard Benefits
As we mentioned above, FoundersCard offers a variety of benefits, including a slew of travel perks. These include discounts on hotels, rental car elite status, and more. Here are some of the most notable travel benefits:
- Up to 16% off United flights
- Complimentary Wynn Platinum elite status
- Complimentary Hertz Five Star elite status
- Negotiated rates on luxury hotels
- Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite status challenge

Depending on how often you travel, it's easy to recoup the cost of the card. Business owners will appreciate additional perks, such as:
- Up to $20,000 in fee-free payments with Stripe
- Up to 55% discount at Office Depot
- Up to 47% off shipping with UPS
Finally, shopping discounts with FoundersCard can still be worthwhile if you spend money with eligible retailers. These include:
- 30% discount at Adidas.com
- 15% discount at Bose.com
- $200 off $600 at Mr. Porter
Note that these are all perks of a standard FoundersCard membership. Those who opt for the more expensive FoundersCard Elite get additional benefits.
What Benefits Are Included in This FoundersCard Trial Membership?
We've already broken down the savings versus the annual cost in our review of FoundersCard. But what about the three-month free trial? Well, with no cost to you, of course it makes sense to grab the trial if you can.
Just be aware that some of the best benefits of FoundersCard aren't available to trial members. This includes complimentary elite status from certain hotels as well as most discounts for travel.
That being said, FoundersCard confirmed to AwardWallet that the trial membership includes access to many membership benefits, including the following:
- Phone.com
- HubSpot
- Zendesk
- Lenovo
- Dell
- Tickets by FoundersCard
- Avis Car Rental
- Hertz
- Concert Tickets
- Sonesta Hotels
- MOO Inc.
- SIXT – Rent The Car
- Google Workspace
- Alaska Airlines
- NBA Playoff Tickets
- Tommy John
- Sonos
- Plaza Premium Airport Lounges
- Ace Hotel
- Entrepreneur Magazine
- Arlo Midtown
- The Standard High Line
The Alaska Airlines benefit gets you a 5% discount on flights, so that could certainly be worthwhile if you have upcoming travel.
Discounts on access to Plaza Premium airport lounges stand at 20%. However, most travelers don't need to pay for airport lounge visits when so many credit cards offer complimentary airport lounge access just for being a cardholder.
Notably, the American Express Global Lounge Collection offers eligible Card Members access to Plaza Premium lounges in addition to a whole host of others, including American Express Centurion lounges, Lufthansa lounges, and Priority Pass lounges. Cards such as The Platinum Card® from American Express have access to the Global Lounge Collection. Enrollment is required for select Amex benefits.
The same can be said for the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, which explicitly includes complimentary access to Plaza Premium lounges as well as Priority Pass lounges and Capital One Lounges.

While the FoundersCard trial membership doesn't give away all of the perks included in a full FoundersCard membership, you still can extract some value from this offer even if you choose not to renew. Most importantly, it gives you easy access to check out all the benefits FoundersCard has to offer in a streamlined way and without an upfront cost. Then, you can evaluate whether the cost is worth it when it's time to renew.
The Bottom Line
FoundersCard offers a slew of perks that we only started to scratch the surface of in this post. (See our “Is FoundersCard worth it?” for a full breakdown.) A FoundersCard membership can be incredibly valuable if you're able to take advantage of the benefits it offers.
If you want to try it out for yourself, we've unlocked a great deal for AwardWallet readers to get three months free — plus a discount when you choose to renew. Once you're a fully-fledged FoundersCard member, you'll have access to all the benefits FoundersCard offers, including elite status when traveling and numerous small-business perks.
