How to extend your trial JetBlue status
Once approved, your JetBlue Mosaic status is valid for three months. To extend that status through the end of the following calendar year, you’ll need to earn a required number of tiles during your trial period.
If tiles are new to you, here’s how they work:
- 1 tile for every $100 spent on JetBlue flights (including extras and fees), JetBlue Vacations packages, and Paisly bookings
- 1 tile for every $1,000 spent on JetBlue credit cards, including the JetBlue Card, JetBlue Plus Card, and JetBlue Business Card
To extend your status, you'll need to earn the following tiles within the three-month trial period:
- Mosaic 1: 10 tiles
- Mosaic 2: 25 tiles
- Mosaic 3: 40 tiles
With the right strategy — often through spending on the JetBlue credit cards — you should be able to extend your status fairly easily. If you match early in the year and complete the tile requirements, you can effectively enjoy Mosaic benefits for nearly two full years.
How to Submit a JetBlue Status Match
Filling out an application takes just a few minutes. But first, you'll need to join the TrueBlue program (if you haven't already) and be ready to provide the following screenshots:
- Matches to Mosaic 1 and 2: A screenshot of your frequent flyer profile showing your full name and elite status
- Matches to Mosaic 2 only: A screenshot or photo of a recent boarding pass or flight confirmation email showing your status
Once you’ve gathered those items, complete JetBlue's status match application. There’s no fee to apply.
JetBlue’s status match terms say processing can take up to four weeks — though hopefully, it doesn’t actually take that long.

JetBlue Mosaic Perks
Over the past few years, JetBlue's TrueBlue program has undergone several changes. Today, you can earn “tiles” (through flying, credit card spending, purchases, and more) that count toward four Mosaic elite tiers.
Mosaic 1 benefits
As a Mosaic 1 member, you can enjoy the following benefits after completing the JetBlue status match:
- Priority boarding
- Priority security (where available)
- Check-in at the Mosaic airport counter
- Complimentary same-day flight changes (terms apply)
- Even More Space seat selection at check-in (when available)
- 24/7 Mosaic support
- Free checked-bag benefit (benefit structure changes beginning in 2026)
- Complimentary in-flight alcoholic beverage benefit for eligible travelers (limits apply beginning in 2026)
JetBlue will also pre-assign your Perk You Pick. At the Mosaic 1 level, this is Mint Suite Priority, which improves your chances of booking JetBlue’s most sought-after Mint seats. Status-matched members won’t be able to choose from the full Perks You Pick menu until earning higher Mosaic tiers organically.

Mosaic 2 benefits
Mosaic 2 members receive all Mosaic 1 perks, plus:
- Even More Space seat selection at booking (availability and fare restrictions apply)
- Mint Suite Priority
- Pet fee waivers
Final Thoughts
Whether you're fed up with elite qualification changes at your current airline or simply want a new set of perks, JetBlue’s status match is worth a look. If you fly the airline enough, the perks of Mosaic status truly shine, especially if you book Blue Basic tickets or want to check bags without paying JetBlue's bag fees.
With no cost to apply and a solid set of perks from day one, the JetBlue status match is well worth considering. If you extend the benefits by earning enough tiles during the trial period, your status will be valid through the end of 2027.
