Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards
Alaska Airlines offers a new member bonus for its Atmos Rewards program, and it's on the table through the rest of 2026.
Use this link to earn a $50 flight discount if you are a resident of California or Hawaii, or this link to earn a $25 discount if you reside in any other state (other than the State of Alaska). After joining, book a flight within 28 days and travel within 120 days from your date of enrollment. The discount is only valid on Alaska flights and flights operated for Alaska by Horizon Air and SkyWest.
Residents of the State of Alaska are not eligible for either bonus.
American Airlines AAdvantage
If you aren't already an American Airlines AAdvantage member, you might be able to earn 3,000 miles by booking and flying four eligible flights after enrolling. This is a targeted offer, and you may or may not receive it via email. Hopefully, American Airlines is still sending out these emails.
Within 30 days of signing up for a new AAdvantage account, you’ll need to head to the promotions tab in your account and register for the offer. Then, book and complete four eligible flights within three months of registering.
Terms and conditions
- This promotion is available to members who received an email from American Airlines.
- Register through your email before booking your flights.
- Offer only applies to eligible flights marketed by American and operated by American, Aer Lingus, American Eagle®, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, Iberia, Finnair, Japan Airlines, JetSmart, Qatar Airways, or Qantas.
- Flights marketed and/or operated by other codeshare partners, or which don’t earn AAdvantage® miles, are ineligible.
- Bonus miles should post to your account within 14 days.
Delta Air Lines SkyMiles
If you've never joined SkyMiles, you can do so by December 31, 2026, and earn up to 5,000 bonus miles after completing several tasks with the Starter Pack Challenge. Keep in mind that this offer is only for new members who have not previously joined SkyMiles.
These are the tasks you can complete to earn bonus miles:
- Update your SkyMiles account and opt in to receive emails to earn 100 bonus miles.
- Join SkyMiles Dining for free and spend $30 in the first 30 days to earn 1,400 bonus miles. This is better than the usual offer of 1,000 miles for new members.
- Book your next flight on the Fly Delta App and travel within three months of enrolling in the SkyMiles Starter Pack Challenge to earn 1,500 bonus miles.
- Complete all three activities above within 3 months of enrolling to earn 2,000 bonus miles, for a total of 5,000 bonus miles.
Note that after you join SkyMiles, you can claim your miles retroactively on flights up to 9 months before joining.
Ethiopian Airlines ShebaMiles
To entice you to join its ShebaMiles program, Ethiopian Airlines is offering 1,000 bonus miles. Even though this bonus isn't advertised on its website, it is on Ethiopian's airplanes. When we tested it, the bonus miles arrived instantly.
Garuda Indonesia GarudaMiles
Garuda Indonesia has its own new member bonus. Join GarudaMiles through its website and automatically earn 600 bonus miles. After completing your first flight with Garuda Indonesia, you will receive 800 additional bonus miles.
Not many details are available about this offer, such as a specific timeframe for completing your flights or the offer's end date. However, we can assume that only flights with Garuda Indonesia are eligible.
It's worth noting that AwardWallet team members have been awarded 1,000 miles just by signing up for the GarudaMiles program. So, your mileage (pun intended) may vary.
JSX (Club JSX)
Club JSX offers a new member bonus in the form of savings. You'll get $100 off your first JSX flight by signing up with a referral code. Depending on which route you book, this can be a pretty meaningful amount of savings. Need a referral code? Here's mine — 1N8GFY.
THAI Airways Royal Orchid Plus
If you want to earn a few Royal Orchid Plus miles, THAI Airways offers a new member bonus. If you sign up through this link, you can earn 2,500 miles after booking and completing an international flight.
Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles
For those new to the Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles program, you can earn 1,000 bonus miles just for completing enrollment. There’s no flight requirement to receive the bonus — the miles will be deposited into your account once you receive your frequent flyer number.
It’s not clear how long this offer will last. For years, it was an ambiguous offer, but it now shows up clearly when registering for a new Lotusmiles account.
WestJet Rewards
WestJet relaunched its rewards program in 2025. Since then, the airline has offered a new member bonus. New members can claim 500 bonus points after their first flight. At this point, the offer has no end date.
Hotel New Member Bonuses
And here are the hotel loyalty programs offering new member bonuses.
Hilton Honors
New Hilton Honors members can earn a total of 3,000 bonus points after enrolling and completing three stays. Previously, members could earn 3,000 bonus points after only two stays. The December 31, 2026, expiration date is no longer visible, so we can assume this offer is here to stay.
- This offer is only open to new members of the Hilton Honors program.
- Beyond enrolling in Hilton Honors, no registration is required for this offer, but you must complete qualifying stays to earn bonus points.
- 500 bonus points after completing one eligible stay.
- 1,000 bonus points after completing a second eligible stay.
- 1,500 bonus points after completing a third eligible stay, for a total of 3,000 bonus points.
- Members must complete stays within six months of the enrollment date.
- A “stay” is defined as a consecutive number of nights at the same property, regardless of check-in/check-out activity.
- Only paid stays count for the promotion, not award redemptions.
- Existing reservations count for this promotion as long as the guest joins Hilton Honors before checkout.
One thing to note about this promotion is that you must complete your three stays within six months of enrolling. Plan your stays and enrollment in advance to ensure you meet the offer's six-month window.
IHG One Rewards
If you’re not an IHG One Rewards member yet, it’s easy and rewarding to sign up. Enrollment is free, and you’ll earn 3,000 bonus points when you book and complete a paid stay of at least one night (with a minimum spend of $30 per night) within 21 days of joining. Award stays don’t count toward this offer.
This offer is valid through December 31, 2026, and can only be redeemed once. Bonus points will post to your account within six weeks after your stay.
Marriott Bonvoy
Marriott might still have a new member bonus. The offer no longer has an end date, but we can't tell if it's active. If it is, you can earn 7,500 bonus points after your first two stays. The offer says it's targeted, so check your email. Of course, you could try signing up normally to get the bonus points, but you might not receive them.

- Earn 500 bonus points just for joining and receive 2,000 bonus points after completing your first stay. Receive an additional 5,000 bonus points after completing your second stay within 90 days of enrollment, for a total of 7,500 bonus points.
- Members must complete eligible stays within 90 days of enrollment.
- A stay is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/check-out activity. Must book a points-earning rate to qualify.
Radisson Rewards
Refer-a-friend bonuses can be a win-win. You earn bonus points for referring a friend or family member, and they earn bonus points, too. That’s exactly how it works with the Radisson Rewards referral program. Just note that this applies to Radisson Rewards — not Radisson Rewards Americas, which has long since been folded into the Choice Privileges program.
You and the person you invite will each earn 5,000 bonus points after their first stay. You can earn up to 50,000 points per year through referrals. All it takes is sharing your personalized referral link, which becomes available once you sign up for the Radisson Rewards program.
For the first time, this promotion has an end date — October 6, 2026. This offer has been around for years, so it's interesting to see it might end soon.
Final Thoughts
Travelers have plenty of chances to earn potentially thousands of bonus points or miles just for signing up for a loyalty program as a new member. The best offers don’t require a flight or hotel stay at all. And even when they do, it’s often something you were planning to book anyway.
It’s always worth checking for sign-up bonuses when creating a new account. Some rewards might be modest, but others can give you a meaningful boost toward your next redemption. Every little bit adds up!
