In the never ending saga of the large electronics ban, Royal Jordanian has announced via Twitter that the electronics ban on their flights to the US has been lifted, and a few hours later Kuwait Airways also announced that they had their ban lifted.

United recently announced a slew of changes to their MileagePlus program. While you might assume all would be negative, United has actually implemented some minor improvements as well. Unlike other airlines who have devalued overnight, United is giving its customers plenty of advanced notice, since the new changes will not be implemented until November 1, 2017. Until then, current rates/policies will apply.

We recently reported that new security measures were going to be implemented, that would mean airports could apply to have the electronic travel ban lifted. Well, Etihad has announced that the electronics ban no longer applies to Etihad flights from Abu Dhabi to the US.

In what is seen as a partial victory for President Trump, a Supreme Court ruling yesterday opens the door for at least a partial implementation of his “Muslim travel ban”. The decision is not a complete win for the President as the Justices stated that they will consider in October whether the policy should be struck down or if it can continue.

Sadly, Marriott and SPG have made a change to their cancellation policy, and it is not good news. Effective June 15, 2017, the hotels will be imposing a cancellation fee on cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance. The new policy will see you charged for the first night including taxes and fees if you cancel less than 48 hours in advance.
