United just launched a “Pack More Miles” promotion for targeted United credit card holders. Eligible travelers can earn bonus miles after hitting a spending threshold between September 1 and December 31, 2025. And some cardholders are targeted to earn up to 10,000 bonus miles!
Here are the details and how to activate your offer — if you've been targeted.
United Card Spending “Pack More Miles” Promotion
Travelers with a United credit card should check what co-branded spending offers they have — or if they were targeted in the first place. Offers are tailored for each cardholder, offering a set number of bonus miles after reaching a spending target on their United card.
Cardholders must register by December 15, 2025. Once registered, all purchases that post to the card between September 1 and December 31, 2025, including retroactive purchases, count toward the spending requirement.
Only purchases that post to the eligible card by the end of the year are eligible. As such, last-minute purchases might not reflect on the statement in time.
Example offers
Some example offers cardholders have reported include:
- 3,000 bonus miles after spending $1,000 (an extra 3X rewards)
- 5,000 bonus miles after spending $2,000 (an extra 2.5X rewards)
- 6,000 bonus miles after spending $6,000 (an extra 1X rewards)
- 8,000 bonus miles after spending $3,000 (an extra 2.67X rewards)
- 10,000 bonus miles after spending $4,000-$15,000 (varies from 0.67X to 2.5X rewards)
- 15,000 bonus miles after spending $81,000 (an extra 0.19X rewards)
Some of these offers are certainly better than others. Earning 3,000 miles after spending $1,000 in four months ($250 a month) and 8,000 miles after spending $3,000 in four months ($750 each month) are the best offers.
The most common offer seems to be 10,000 bonus miles. However, the spending requirement to trigger this bonus ranges from $4,000 to as much as $15,000 over just four months. One cardholder even reported an offer to earn 15,000 bonus miles after spending $81,000 in four months.
We can presume these targeted offers are based on spending habits, but some of the rewards aren't worth it.

Key Terms

Our Take
Select United cardholders can register for the Pack More Miles promotion to earn bonus miles after reaching a minimum spending threshold. From the offers we know of, cardholders can earn up to 3X rewards, on top of regular rewards earned with the United card.
If you are a United cardholder, it's worth checking your eligibility for this promotion if you can meet the spending requirement by the end of the year.
And if you don't have a United card yet, you probably won't be able to take advantage of this spending bonus. But you can score much higher bonuses by opening a new card thanks to ongoing welcome offers.
