Are you a small or medium-sized business owner? If so, there's a program — and promotion — that you need to know about. For a limited time, IHG is offering 15,000
Besides the bonus points, benefits of being a Business Edge member include Silver Elite status after your first stay with the Business Edge program and a guaranteed discount at almost 7,000 properties across the IHG portfolio. Here's what to know.
What Is IHG Business Edge?
IHG Business Edge launched in 2018 and targets small and medium-sized businesses. It's free to sign up, and the program has no minimum spend requirement. However, your business can't already be part of an IHG managed account portfolio, and government-owned entities, retail travel agencies, wholesalers, travel management companies, and airlines are not eligible.
You must be an IHG One Rewards member to register, but once you do, IHG will process your registration within five business days.

In addition to a guaranteed discount at IHG properties, Business Edge members get access to a portal with spending and savings data, an automatic upgrade to IHG One Rewards Silver elite status after the first stay with the program, plus dedicated support. To access your rate, you'll need to book travel using the IHG Business Edge website under your registered email address. You can even use your special rate on personal travel.
You can invite your employees to join Business Edge through your company's portal, or they can register using your Corporate ID. When they do, employees gain access to your discount and are automatically upgraded to IHG Silver status after their first stay using your Business Edge rate.
Register for IHG Business Edge To Earn 15K Bonus Points
For a limited time, you can earn 15,000 bonus IHG points when you sign up for IHG Business Edge. Simply register and be accepted into the IHG Business Edge program by December 31, 2026. If you are one of the first 4,050 enrollees, you'll earn 15,000 bonus points.
This offer might be targeted. Some AwardWallet team members received an email about the bonus points offer, and the terms and conditions state that you must register through that webpage. We don't know for sure whether you'll get bonus points if you register directly on the IHG Business Edge homepage.

IHG Business Edge Versus IHG Business Rewards
You may be familiar with IHG Business Rewards. To make things a bit more confusing, that's a different program.
The noticeable difference is that IHG Business Rewards, which is also free to join, is for bookings made on behalf of others, such as weddings and corporate meetings. You'll earn three IHG points per $1 USD spent on qualifying spend, and you can book up to nine rooms.
Moreover, base IHG points earned through the program count towards elite status.

Bottom Line
Free hotel points — if you qualify — and (almost) automatic elite status is not something we'd ignore, especially in the ever-changing points and miles landscape.
Consider signing up for IHG Business Edge if it makes sense for your business needs, but act quickly, since there is a cap on the number of Business Edge sign-ups that will qualify for the bonus IHG points.
