If you thought we wouldn't hear much from Bilt while we wait for the announcement of the Bilt 2.0 Card in February 2026, you'd be wrong. Bilt is making history by becoming the first transferable point currency to partner with Spirit Airlines, starting today, December 17, 2025.
With this addition of low-cost carrier Spirit to its extensive list of transfer partners, Bilt has also become the loyalty program with the most 1:1 transfer partners.
Here's everything you need to know.

Bilt Adds Spirit Airlines as 23rd Transfer Partner
You can now transfer your Bilt Rewards Points to 23 transfer partners, offering supreme flexibility when you're ready to use your points — and almost all offer a 1:1 transfer ratio. Whether you want to book Turkish Airlines business class or an ultra-low-cost ticket with Spirit, you have options.

This partnership is somewhat surprising news, as rumors have been circulating that the airline might shut down for good following its first bankruptcy in February 2025 and second bankruptcy in August 2025. However, this could be a lifeline for the airline, offering greater visibility and flexibility for travelers who want to use points but pay cash for things like seat selection, a checked bag, or snacks on board.
Spirit award flights start as low as 2,500 points, with no blackout dates. Let's take a look at some ways to use your Free Spirit points.
Fly from Atlanta to San Juan, Puerto Rico, for 2,500 Free Spirit points
Want to soak in the Caribbean sun? You can fly one-way from Atlanta (ATL) to San Juan (SJU) with a layover in Miami (MIA) for as few as 2,500 Free Spirit points.

Fly from New York to Lima, Peru, for 6,500 Free Spirit points
Did you know that Spirit operates flights throughout Central and South America? That's right — you can fly from New York (EWR) to Lima (LIM) with layovers in Atlanta (ATL) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) for just 6,500 Free Spirit points. It's a long journey, so if you want to cut out your Atlanta layover, you can spend 1,000 extra points.

Fly from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles for 2,500 Free Spirit points
You can actually fly nonstop from coast to coast for just 2,500 Free Spirit points. Depart from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and land in Los Angeles (LAX) just over six hours later. If you're looking for one of the most affordable transcontinental flights out there, this is it.

Ways to Earn More Bilt Rewards Points
As we already mentioned, Bilt will unveil a brand-new credit card portfolio, issued by Cardless, in February 2026. There will be three new cards, with annual fees ranging from $0 to $495. We don't know much else, so you'll have to wait and see how you can earn more Bilt Rewards in 2026.
Until then, existing cardholders can use The Bilt Mastercard® (Rates & Fees) for your day-to-day purchases. Unfortunately, it's closed for new applicants. If you don't already earn Bilt Rewards through credit card spending but you want access to Spirit as a transfer partner, you'll need to wait until the new cards launch in February.
Apart from credit cards, you can earn Bilt Rewards in a variety of ways, including Lyft rides, Walgreens purchases, and travel.

Bottom Line
Spirit Airlines is the fourth airline to be added to Bilt's extensive list of transfer partners in 2025, following Southwest Airlines in April, Qatar Airways in May, and Japan Airlines in October.
The ability to transfer your Bilt Rewards to Spirit at a 1:1 ratio unlocks some impressive redemption opportunities, including transcontinental or international routes for just a few thousand points. It's clear that Bilt is becoming an unstoppable force in the industry.
Before transferring Bilt Points to Free Spirit to book a Spirit Airlines flight, it’s worth checking the Bilt Travel portal first. Your points are worth 1.25¢ each there towards flights and stays, and on cheap fares, you might get better value on these redemptions than by transferring points. The portal is easy to use, a few minutes of due diligence is time well spent.
