In 2024, Marriott Bonvoy® announced the launch of its business program, Business Access by Marriott Bonvoy. This program, aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, provides many features and benefits, including an expanded and improved Marriott booking experience.
Marriott is now offering targeted Business Access members complimentary Silver Elite status through the end of 2026, with a fast track to Gold Elite. Here's what you need to know about the program and the new offer.
Business Access by Marriott Bonvoy Overview
If you're familiar with Hilton's business program, Hyatt Leverage, or Wyndham Rewards Business, you'll have a good idea of what Business Access by Marriott Bonvoy is. It's a business-oriented program that offers benefits for companies that book travel through the program.
Your membership in the program is initially valid for one year. Then, Marriott will re-evaluate after the first 12 months.
Once accepted into the program, businesses can receive Marriott Bonvoy elite status after a number of qualifying stays, which can be assigned to specific travelers within the company. It's an easy way to make stays cheaper and more rewarding.
Marriott Business Access eligibility criteria
The Business Access by Marriott Bonvoy is open to small and medium-sized businesses in the following locations:
- United States
- Canada
- Europe
- Middle East
- Africa
- Caribbean
- Latin America
It's also worth noting that Marriott announced it would roll out the program to other locations worldwide. So, if you don't live in an eligible location now, you might be eligible soon.
Further, to qualify for the Business Access programs, businesses must meet the following requirements:
- It must be a lawfully registered corporate structure with a valid Tax ID number.
- Must not be a state-owned entity.
- Must not be part of a larger corporate entity managed by Marriott’s corporate program.
- It can not be a third-party travel intermediary such as a travel agent or wholesaler.
To apply as an individual, you need to be employed by a small or medium-sized business. You also must be registered with Marriott as the company’s travel decision-maker.

Marriott Business Access Benefits
The main advantage to enrolling your business in the Marriott Business Access program over competing programs is the benefits. Here are the benefits Business Access by Marriott Bonvoy advertises:
- Marriott Bonvoy benefits: Employees have full access to the features and benefits associated with being members of the Marriott Bonvoy program. These include mobile check-in and keys, free in-room Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, late checkout, and more.
- Discounted rates on stays: Book rooms at discounted rates while still earning points and status awards. Status awards can be gifted to employees on their subsequent stays.
- Customizable travel policies: The program allows company travel managers to control their organization's policies. Managers can use a self-service tool to select a range of facilities, from expense limits to other guidelines.
- Book travel with ease: The program is a one-stop online travel booking tool. Travel managers can book hotels, flights, rail tickets, and car rentals from one convenient online tool that complies with the company's overall travel policies.
- Global travel policy management and reporting: Business travel managers can access real-time information and analytics about their companies. This includes details and insights into travel spending, sustainability, and more.
- Expense management solutions: Businesses can opt to use an expense management tool provided by Marriott for an additional fee. The tool automates expense reports based on set policies and can easily integrate into existing expense platforms.
- Traveler health and safety monitoring: A travel insights tool allows managers to monitor the safety and well-being of traveling employees. The tool provides real-time information about disruptions and other factors affecting employees.
Marriott Business Access Elite Status Offer (Targeted)
Marriott Business Access members who don't already have Bonvoy Gold Elite status or above can now claim Silver Elite status, with a fast track to Gold Elite. This offer is by invitation only, so check your email for the registration link.
Targeted Marriott Business Access members can register by July 14, 2025, to receive complimentary Silver Elite status, which is valid through December 31, 2026. Then, within 3 months of enrolling, complete eight (8) qualifying nights to upgrade to Gold Elite status through the end of 2026.

Our Take
Business Access by Marriott Bonvoy is an excellent idea for many small businesses that have to book regular travel. The program has many features to help business travelers plan trips for employees. Now, targeted members can get Silver Elite status with a fast track to Gold through the end of 2026.
While booking hotels through Marriott Business Access might make sense, booking car hire, air travel, and other travel via Marriott may not be as rewarding as other methods. Either way, if you qualify, the program may be worth a closer look to see if it works for you.
