If you've got the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (Rates & Fees), we've got good news. Chase has improved the lounge access benefits attached to the Sapphire Reserve. Effective immediately, cardholders can access select Air Canada Maple Leaf lounges. Better yet, lounge access is irrespective of your status with Air Canada or your class of travel, so this enhanced benefit is a big get.

How To Get into Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges With the Sapphire Reserve

To access a participating Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, you need to present the following items at the door:

It's that simple. And to reiterate, you can access these lounges no matter what class you're flying in. So, whether you're flying first class or economy, you can still get in if you show your card at the door and have a valid boarding pass.

Can Sapphire Reserve cardholders bring guests into Maple Leaf Lounges?

Unfortunately, you cannot bring a complimentary guest with you. However, cardholders can pay for guest access as follows:

  • Canadian Maple Leaf Lounges: Guest access costs CAD 59.
  • U.S Maple Leaf Lounges: Guest access costs $59.
  • European Maple Leaf Lounges: Guest access costs £59.

The math changes if your guest is an authorized user on your Sapphire Reserve. Authorized users can get into Maple Leaf Lounges free of charge, but remember that adding an authorized user to this card will cost you $75 annually.

If you are a Sapphire Reserve cardholder, this latest benefit enhancement is welcome news. You can now access additional lounges in several airports worldwide, courtesy of Chase permitting cardholders to enter Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges. There's something to be said about having choices between lounges; hopefully you have a better chance of finding a space that's not as crowded.
