What is The Edit by Chase?

The Edit by Chase Travel is a curated collection of luxury hotels and resorts consisting of over 1,000 properties around the world offered through the Chase Travel℠ portal.

Formerly known to Chase cardholders as “Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection” (or LHRC in short), the new rebranded version give select Chase cardholders of certain premium cards elite-like hotel benefits when booking stays through the program — even if they don’t hold elite status with the hotel chain.

When booking hotel reservations through Chase Travel in properties that are part of The Edit by Chase, travelers can enjoy additional benefits they wouldn't otherwise get. These include:

  • Daily complimentary breakfast for two.
  • $100 property credit (towards dining, spa, and other activities at the property).
  • Welcome amenity.
  • Free Wi-Fi.
  • Room upgrade at time of check-in if available.
  • Early check-in when available.
  • Late check-out, if available.

As of the most recent changes Chase introduced to the Sapphire Reserve, cardholders also enjoy an up-to-$500 per year credit towards prepaid hotel stays booked through The Edit. This credit is doled out in two increments of $250. The first credit is valid from January through June, while the second credit is good from July through December. Bookings must have a minimum of two nights to trigger this benefit.

What Cards Have The Edit Benefits?

Only the top-tier premium credit cards issued by Chase will unlock access to The Edit by Chase bookings through Chase Travel. That includes both the personal Sapphire Reserve as well as the Sapphire Reserve Business, and their even more exclusive cousin the J.P. Morgan Reserve card.

How to Use the Sapphire Reserve $500 Annual The Edit Credit

To take advantage of your annual The Edit credit, log into your Chase account and head over to Chase Travel. You can also do this on your mobile device.

Just like you would on any other hotel search, find the properties that are part of The Edit by searching for a location during your preferred travel dates. The Edit hotels will display that designation on the search results, and will show above other properties that aren't part of The Edit.

Book your hotel stay, making sure that it is a prepaid (‘Pay now' instead of ‘Pay later' at checkout) reservation of at least two consecutive nights. Ensure you use your qualifying Sapphire Reserve card to guarantee you'll receive the credit. Though it may take a few weeks to process, the charge is automatically credited to your account.

This list can be sliced and diced by using the filters. These will help hone in on specific properties by world region and countries, as well as the collection that Chase Travel groups these properties into. If you prefer to just browse all 1,300-plus available properties, you can just scroll through the list that's displayed in alphabetical order by country.

Bottom Line

Everyone likes being treated like a VIP. But you generally needed to be a top-tier elite member to get VIP benefits. Benefits like free breakfast, late checkout, room credits, and more are commonplace amongst the hotel's most valuable customers, but out of reach for the majority of travelers. However, a new slate of premium hotel collections now offer elite-like benefits to travelers who have an eligible card and book an eligible property.

Thanks to The Edit by Chase, those benefits are available for all travelers booking one of The Edit's hotels. The Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve Business‘ $500 credits, applied in $250 chunks twice a year, is easy to use, meaning you'll get substantial savings on your next luxurious stay.

Very useful and practical information. Thanks!

Do elite night credits and elite benefits work in conjunction with the program as they do with FHR?

    • Tyler Glatt says:

Hi Christian, you should be eligible to earn elite nights and hotel points on The Edit bookings. Unless Chase happened to change things, you should see something like “World of Hyatt eligible” on a property listing.

  • JohnB says:

There is supposedly another $250 credit only good at certain chains. How’s is that used and where?

    • JT Genter says:

I think that’s this credit. It’s $250 twice a year only at hotels that participate in The Edit collection.

      • JohnB says:

        Google Gemini:

New one-time credit: A new, one-time $250 credit will be available for prepaid stays of at least two nights at select hotels booked through Chase Travel in 2026.

Select hotel brands: The new $250 credit will be applicable to stays at select properties from brands like IHG, Omni, and Virgin Hotels.

        Reddit:

Beginning Jan. 1, 2026, cardholders of the Sapphire Reserve and the Sapphire Reserve for Business will receive a $250 credit to use for select Chase Travel hotels.

The credit is valid on prepaid hotel bookings (for stays lasting at least two nights) with the following brands:

IHG Hotels & Resorts Minor Hotels Montage Hotels & Resorts Omni Hotels & Resorts Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts Pendry Hotels & Resorts Virgin Hotels

It seems this is another $250 credit for a prepaid booking at the above hotel chains.
