Just like the personal version of the card, business owners can transfer points to Chase’s 14 airline and hotel partners, use points for purchases through The Shops at Chase, or redeem them for gift cards, merchandise, or travel, with Chase Travel redemptions offering up to 2¢ per point.
The “up to 2¢ per point” rate comes from the card’s access to a feature called Points Boost, which offers enhanced value on select flights and hotel stays booked through Chase Travel. Eligible redemptions in the portal will be clearly marked, while all others will offer 1¢ per point.
Points Boost replaced the fixed 1.5¢ per point redemption rate that has long been a hallmark of the personal Sapphire Reserve.
Sapphire Reserve Business annual fee
If you add up all the statement credits and account for the full suite of benefits, you’ll arrive at a big number, which might leave you wondering what the cost is for all of this. The Sapphire Reserve Business comes with a $795 annual fee.

Sapphire Reserve Business Application Restrictions
Interested in applying for the Sapphire Reserve Business? Here are the rules and restrictions that we know exist around this card:
- You need a business to qualify. However, that requirement is easier to meet than many people realize. You may be eligible if you run an Etsy store, sell items on eBay, drive for a rideshare service, or earn income from freelance or consulting work.
- Other Chase business cards won't prevent you from applying. There is currently no restriction on applying for this card if you already hold other Chase business cards.
- You'll need to be under Chase's 5/24 limit. As with other Chase cards, you generally won't be approved if you've opened five or more personal credit cards from any issuer in the past 24 months. While most business cards don't add to your 5/24 count, you still need to be under the limit to qualify.
You'll also find the following language on the card's application page:
“The new cardmember bonus may not be available to you if you have ever had this card. We may also consider factors pertinent to your business in determining your bonus eligibility.”
