American Airlines Vacations regularly offers discounts and bonus miles with select vacation packages. And right now, it's offering up to 11X AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points per $1 spent on vacation packages for a limited time.

What Is American Airlines Vacations?
American Airlines Vacations allows travelers to book vacation packages that include flights and hotels, often at a good discount. It's similar to other vacation booking portals, such as those from Alaska, Delta, and Southwest,
While any traveler can book a package, AAdvantage members will earn miles on the entire package price, including the hotel stay, but not on taxes and fees. Regular AAdvantage members earn 1 mile and 1 Loyalty Point per dollar spent on the vacation package. All AAdvantage elite status members earn 5x that amount: 5 AAdvantage miles and 5 Loyalty Points per dollar.

Current American Airlines Vacations Promotions
American Airlines Vacations often offers promotions to save on eligible vacation packages, earn bonus miles if you're an AAdvantage member, and more. Note that the hotel length must match the trip duration to be eligible for these promotions.
Earn up to 11X AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points
For a limited time, AAdvantage members can earn up to 5X miles and Loyalty Points per $1 spent on vacation packages. That's how much elite members typically earn.
If you're already an elite member, you'll earn even more miles:
- AAdvantage Gold: Earn 7X miles and Loyalty Points per $1
- AAdvantage Platinum: Earn 8X miles and Loyalty Points per $1
- AAdvantage Platinum Pro: Earn 9X miles and Loyalty Points per $1
- AAdvantage Executive Platinum: Earn 11X miles and Loyalty Points per $1
In other words, if you are a Platinum Pro member, you could spend $2,000 on a vacation package and earn 18,000 AAdvantage miles and 18,000 Loyalty Points. That puts you well on your way to earning Executive Platinum.

If you're planning a vacation and want to earn extra AAdvantage miles, you might want to consider booking your package through American Airlines Vacations. As with any vacation booking portal, you'll want to determine whether you're getting the best deal and rewards by booking through the platform versus booking each component separately.
