Ever dreamed of flying private? Now you have a better reason to do so.

TLC Jet partnered with American Airlines back in April, which lets you earn 1 AAdvantage® mile per $1 spent on TLC Jet charters (excluding taxes, fees, and ancillary charges). This earning potential isn't very lucrative, but for a limited time, you can earn 100,000 bonus AAdvantage miles with your first qualifying TLC Jet booking.

Here's what to know.

What Is TLC Jet?

TLC Jet is a private aviation company that offers on-demand private jet charter services.

Unlike jet membership companies that charge an upfront deposit and monthly membership fees, TLC Jet operates a pay-as-you-go model. That's not to say it is an affordable way to get from point A to point B, but it can make more sense for business and leisure travelers who want to fly private once or twice.

For example, TLC Jet published a price comparison between private jet brokers (like TLC Jet) and jet memberships. For a flight from New York to Miami on a super midsize jet, a jet membership might require a $250,000 upfront deposit, a $3,000 monthly membership fee, and $10,000 per hour of flight time. Meanwhile, TLC Jet charges no upfront or monthly fees, and you can charter your jet for $8,500 per hour.

Is $25,500 for a three-hour flight to Miami the most cost-effective? Certainly not, but if you have the money and want to fly private, it seems more affordable than competitors.

Earn 100K AAdvantage Miles on Your First Booking

Thanks to TLC Jet's partnership with American Airlines, you can earn AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points when you fly private. Given the cost of private aviation, you could easily earn a large number of miles or even reach AAdvantage elite status with just one round-trip flight. For instance, if you spent $50,000 on a round-trip flight, you'd earn 50,000 miles and 50,000 Loyalty Points — more than enough to reach AAdvantage Gold.

For a limited time, eligible American Airlines AAdvantage members who complete their first qualifying TLC Jet booking by December 31, 2026, can earn 100,000 bonus AAdvantage miles. Unfortunately, the terms and conditions are relatively light, so we aren't sure exactly what qualifies as an eligible flight. Before booking, contact TLC Jet to get more information by visiting TLCJet.com, calling 1-877-TLC-JETS, or emailing Fly@TLCJet.com.

Bottom Line

If you have tens of thousands of dollars to drop on a private jet, you might not care too much about earning AAdvantage miles. After all, you can't use those miles to book another private flight. However, if you're looking for a unique experience even though you typically fly commercial, this could be a great way to make that trip a little more lucrative.
