Tripadvisor fans, this one's for you. The travel research and planning company has finally launched a rewards program. Through the new Tripadvisor Rewards program, you'll earn Trip Cash on stays, experiences, and by being an active member on Tripadvisor.

What Is Tripadvisor Rewards?
Tripadvisor Rewards is a brand-new loyalty program that allows you to earn 5% back in Trip Cash on stays and experiences booked through the Tripadvisor app. Arguably, the most interesting part, however, is that there are more ways to earn rewards. For the first time, you'll be able to earn Trip Cash by being an active Tripadvisor member.
What does this look like? Well, if you use Tripadvisor to plan a trip, save inspiration, contribute to the community, or take advantage of special promotions, you'll earn Trip Cash. The exact amount will depend on the activity, but this is an intriguing idea.
To keep things simple, 1 Trip Cash is worth $1, and can be redeemed for activities or hotel stays. You can decide how much you want to redeem when you check out. Beware: Trip Cash expires one year after you earn it. Keep an eye on your balance in your account so you don't leave money on the table.
You won't receive your Trip Cash until 24 hours after a stay or activity is completed. So, if you make a reservation well in advance, you won't see your rewards for awhile. Still, you can check your pending balance to have a rough idea of how much you'll earn.
The only major caveat or restriction is that you must use the Tripadvisor app to earn and redeem Trip Cash. You can still use the mobile site to plan your trip, but you won't earn rewards (for now).
Considering that it is a free program with no membership tiers or fees, it's fairly lucrative. You'll receive your typical benefits like a price match guarantee, flexible booking options, trip planning tools, and more.
For a limited time, you can earn $30 off Things to Do by joining the program and verifying your U.S. phone number. This is essentially free money, so it's worth it to sign up.
