I love Lululemon. So, I was thrilled when I heard that up to $300 in annual Lululemon credits would be added to the American Express Platinum Card® as part of its massive overhaul.
I bought my first items from Lululemon earlier this year before a trip to a wellness festival at the Six Senses Crans-Montana. Lululemon certainly isn't cheap — one pair of shorts might cost $128, while a puffer jacket could reach as much as $448. However, based on my limited experience, everything you buy at the “athleisure” powerhouse is of excellent quality, and there is a vast array of options for any style or budget.
There are many people who are frustrated with the increasing coupon book-style credits that card issuers are offering in exchange for extremely high annual fees, and rightfully so. However, just about anyone can take advantage of the Lululemon credit, with little to nothing out of pocket.
Here's what you can buy at Lululemon for $75 or under.

Overview of the Platinum Card® Lululemon Credit
Cardholders of the Platinum Card® can receive up to $75 in statement credits each quarter (for up to $300 annually) when using their card for purchases at U.S. Lululemon locations (excluding outlets) and online at lululemon.com. You will need to enroll in the benefit by logging into your account and clicking “Rewards & Benefits” from the top menu bar. Then, click “benefits,” and scroll all the way down to the “shopping” subsection.
Once you click “learn more,” you can click “enroll now” and you will be redirected to agree to the terms and conditions. Click “enroll now” one more time, and you will be all set. A quarter is defined by the calendar year, so you'll be able to get a $75 statement credit for purchases in January to March, April to June, July to September, and October to December.

Maximize Your Credit: What to Buy at Lululemon for Under $75
According to Lululemon, there are over 250 products that qualify as “bestsellers.” Of these, nearly 100 items are currently $75 or below, allowing you to use your credit and pay nothing extra out of pocket. If you'd rather use your credit as a discount than for a free item rather than to offset a more expensive purchase, don't worry. There are hundreds of additional bestsellers and deep cuts alike that are worth considering.
Shirts and tops under $75
Here are some tops you can get for less than $75.
- Hold Tight Long-Sleeve Shirt ($68): A lightweight long sleeve shirt with a bit of stretch, perfect for layering. Reviewers say it's great to wear under a sweater or while working out in the fall.
- Swiftly Tech Short-Sleeve Shirt 2.0 Hip Length ($68): Designed for running and training, reviewers love the length and praise how well the fabric holds up.
- Metal Vent Tech Sleeveless Shirt Updated Fit ($68): Reviewers say it's the perfect tank for running — just long enough without being overly long. It's also breathable, making it ideal for warm weather.
Each of these shirts are lightweight, which means they will easily fit in your suitcase without pushing you over the weight limit.
Bottoms under $75
You can get several different types of shorts or skirts in exchange for your $75 quarterly credit. Options include:
- Pace Rival High-Rise Short 3″ ($68): This lined short is perfect for working out or running around the town. Right now, it's available in four colors, and provides plenty of coverage. It's made with a quick-drying fabric, and reviewers say it's the best pair of shorts that Lululemon makes.
- Pace Breaker Linerless Short 5″ ($68): These are my go-to travel shorts. They are lightweight, breathable, and perfect for long travel days in hot weather. These shorts come in a ton of different colors, so I'm considering using my $75 credit for another pair.
- High-Rise Pleated Tennis Skirt ($68): Reviewers say the fabric is silky soft, and that it is perfect for almost any occasion — whether you're playing tennis or on a tour in a new city.
Accessories under $75
If you already have all the clothes you need, consider using your $75 credit on some accessories instead. These small bags, water bottles, hats, and mittens are all perfect for travel.
- All Night Festival Bag Micro 2L ($68): This small bag would be perfect for keeping your important belongings safe when touring cities, going on hikes, or attending events with large crowds. It zips up and folds in half to help protect your things from pickpockets.
- Daily Multi-Pocket Tote Bag 20L ($68): I bring a tote bag with me everywhere I go. They are perfect for grabbing groceries, carrying a book and sunglasses, or packing snacks for a long plane ride. This tote bag is the perfect size, and offers a few pouches to keep things organized.
- Back to Life Sport Bottle 32oz ($54): Everyone needs a travel water bottle, so why not use your $75 credit on a bottle from Lululemon? It's insulated and leak proof, just make sure to wash it by hand.
- Fast and Free Running Hat WovenAir ($38): A perfect travel or running hat, it comes in two sizes and is lightweight and adjustable. It's also affordable enough to allow you to get another cheap accessory without spending too much out of pocket.
Travel accessories under $75
While some people prefer to throw their belongings in a bag and call it a day, I prefer to be a very organized traveler. There's a strong chance that these travel accessories find their way into my shopping cart now that I have an available credit.
- Lightweight Pouch (3 Pack) ($48): This 3 pack is perfect for organizing a tote bag, weekender bag, or your backpack. Perfect for toiletries, cables, or snacks, these will be your new travel staples.
- Dual-Compartment Toiletry Bag ($58): This toiletry bag features a unique two compartment design and is lined in a water-repellent fabric — perfect for spills when you're on the road.
- Everywhere Backpack 22L ($64): It's not often that you can get a travel backpack for under $100, but this one rings in at just $64. It's big enough to fit a 16″ laptop, but small enough to take with you as a personal item on a plane.
- City Essentials Pouch 4L ($48): Organizer pouches are an essential in my packing routine. You can use it as a makeup bag, a place to store important medications, or all your cords for your electronics.
Although the following items aren't under the $75 mark, they could still be worth looking into. Lululemon produces some travel gear, including:
- 2-in-1 Travel Duffle Backpack 45L ($198): If you prefer to be carry-on only when you travel, look into the 45L travel duffle. Reviewers say it's durable, well made, easy to organize, and has several different ways to carry. With the $75 credit, you'll pay just $123. It's still an investment, but a bit more palatable.
- Triple-Zip Backpack 28L ($148): This is the quintessential travel backpack — it's made of water-repellent fabric, holds just about everything you need for a weekend getaway in the main compartment, and it has stretchy water bottle pockets to hold any size bottle. After your $75 credit, you'll pay just $73.
- The Travel Mat 1.5mm ($88): If you don't want to skip yoga while you're on vacation, you can pack this lightweight yoga mat made out of slip-proof rubber.
Bottom Line
As you can see, there are almost unlimited ways you can use your new Platinum Card® $300 Lululemon credits. If you want to maximize your credit, look for sale items — named “We Made Too Much” when shopping online. There are several items with 30% to 50% discounts, which means you could spend nothing (after the statement credit posts) for an item that originally cost $150 — not a terrible deal.
Unfortunately, since these are quarterly credits, you can't combine them for one big purchase throughout the year unless you try your luck at purchasing gift cards with the hope they trigger the credit. Still, it's a great way to add a new piece or two to your wardrobe every few months.
Although you might associate Lululemon with workout apparel, I've found the brand to make some of my favorite travel clothes. Lululemon also makes some excellent travel gear, from duffles to small bags and everything in between.
