Since revamping its previous
Now that all communities are live, the promise of great deals, more curated perks, and partner offers for every kind of traveler is already taking shape. Here's everything you need to know about Atmos Rewards Communities.
How Atmos Rewards Communities Work
To be part of an Atmos Rewards community, you’ll first need to choose one to join. New Atmos Rewards members are now prompted to select a community when creating an account, and existing members can do so by visiting Alaska Airlines’ communities site. Once you’ve chosen the community that best aligns with your interests, you’re free to switch to a different one for the following year.
If you actively manage your children’s accounts and they’re under 16 years of age, you’ll need to call Alaska’s Atmos Rewards agents for help enrolling them in a community.
Atmos Rewards Communities
The first two Atmos Rewards communities launched in early 2026 to reward the two groups the Alaska-Hawaiian merger best represents: Alaska and Hawaii residents.
As of October 1, 2026, Atmos Rewards Communities expanded to six options, offering perks to Atmos Rewards members based on how they travel and what they like to do. Benefits include free checked bags, challenges to earn more bonus points, discounts for Atmos Rewards Unlocked experiences, and others.
Club 49
One community that has long kept Alaska Airlines close to people’s lives (and livelihoods) is the residents of the 49th state in the Union: Alaska. By joining Club 49, members can enjoy the following member-exclusive benefits:
- Two free checked bags when traveling to or from Alaska on either Alaska or Hawaiian Airlines flights. The benefit applies to the member and extends to other passengers on the same reservation.
- Three free checked bags on Alaska Airlines intra-Alaska flights. The benefit applies to the member and extends to other passengers on the same reservation.
- Two Travel Now Discounts every year, granting members 30% off one-way, refundable Y-class (full fare economy) flights to, from, or within the state of Alaska when booked within 4 days of departure.
- Freight for Less benefit, helping them ship up to 100 lbs of cargo within Alaska for $49 plus taxes.
- 20% off Atmos Rewards Unlocked experiences.
- Offers from partners aimed at members of this community.
- Sun Run Bonus Points Challenge: Earn more points the more destinations you visit from the challenge list. The first member to complete the challenge earns 100,000 bonus points.
Huaka'i by Hawaiian
With so many Hawaiian Airlines fans joining the loyalty community, it only makes sense for the airline to show Hawaii residents some extra love. Members of the Huaka‘i by Hawaiian community will enjoy the following perks:
- Monthly flight deals and quarterly fare discounts exclusive to this community.
- Two free checked bags on flights between neighboring islands.
- 50% bonus and status points earning on flights between Hawaiian islands (starting January 1, 2027).
- 20% off Atmos Rewards Unlocked experiences.
- Offers from partners aimed at members of this community.
- Ability to use current upgrade certificates on Hawaiian Airlines flights between Hawaii and the continental U.S., Asia and Oceania.
- Holoholo Gateways Bonus Points Challenge to earn more points by visiting more of the listed destinations. The first member to complete the challenge will earn 100,000 bonus points.
Global Locals
Atmos Rewards members living outside the United States will likely welcome this community for travelers based abroad. Once enrolled in Global Locals, those who can’t fly Alaska or Hawaiian as often as U.S. residents will have a faster path to elite status and flight deals, plus the chance to participate in challenges to earn more bonus points. Members will:
- Earn 10% more status points on international flights, including award flights, that begin and/or end outside the U.S. when you credit them to Atmos Rewards.
- Receive quarterly flight deals exclusive to this community.
- Earn 1 status point for every 25 points transferred into Atmos Rewards from eligible loyalty partners.
- Receive a 20% discount when redeeming points towards Atmos Rewards Unlocked experiences.
- Enjoy offers from partners tailored to this community.
- Participate in the Oneworld Hubs Bonus Points Challenge to earn more bonus and status points the more cities you visit from a set list. Plus, the first member to complete the challenge in full earns a 100,000-point bonus.
Culinary Journeys
Culinary Journeys is the community for those who, like me, enjoy eating as much as traveling. The point of this community is to chase points as you chase flavors around the world. Benefits include:
- Quarterly flight deals exclusive to this community.
- 20% off Atmos Rewards Unlocked experiences.
- Offers from partners customized to this community.
- A chance to participate in the Acclaimed Kitchens Bonus Points Challenge, which lets members earn more bonus and status points as they visit more destinations from the list of culinary cities. The first community member to complete the challenge earns 100,000 bonus points.
Active Escapes
Time to get back to nature. The Active Escapes community rewards those who enjoy visiting destinations that connect you with the big outdoors.
Benefits include:
- Quarterly flight deals exclusive to this community.
- 20% off Atmos Rewards Unlocked experiences.
- Offers from partners aimed at members of this Atmos Rewards community.
- Participation in the National Parks Bonus Points Challenge. The more cities they visit from the provided list, the more bonus and status points they rack up. The first member to collect all destinations earns an additional 100,000 bonus points.
Families on the Go
Families who travel together will likely find the Families on the Go community the most rewarding. So far, Alaska says members will earn bonus points and status points when visiting top family vacation destinations, with bigger bonuses as you check off more places from the airline’s list.
- Quarterly flight deals exclusive to this community.
- 20% off Atmos Rewards Unlocked experiences.
- Offers from partners tailored to members of this community.
- 20% points back when redeeming award flights for kids aged 12 or under, for flights on Alaska, Hawaiian, or partner airlines.
