Travelers have several ways to book cruises with points and miles, but one option we haven’t covered before is Choice Privileges Cruises. This portal lets Choice Privileges members both earn and redeem points on cruise bookings.
Here’s what to know about the program and how you can currently earn 10X points through the portal.
What Is Choice Privileges Cruises?
Choice Privileges Cruises is a booking portal available to Choice Privileges members that's powered by Cruise411.
Like other cruise booking platforms, such as Delta Cruises or Marriott’s Cruise with Points, it offers access to most major cruise lines. In fact, the main difference between the Choice and Marriott portals is simply which loyalty points you can earn and redeem.
These portals also come with a best-price guarantee, offering 110% of the price difference if you find a better deal elsewhere. Depending on the cruise line, you may also be eligible for onboard credit, special rates, or VIP perks.

Typically, Choice Privileges members earn 5X points on the total cruise cost, including taxes and fees. Members can also redeem points toward a cruise, though the value doesn't offer much to write home about.
For example, 85,000 points gets you a $250 credit, while 160,000 points gets you $500 off, which works out to just over 0.3¢ per point. By comparison, the average AwardWallet user redeems Choice Privileges points for 1.26¢ each.
When booking through Choice Privileges Cruises, members must pay a non-refundable $25 fee to lock in the cruise. The platform will then advance your cruise line deposit up to $500. You’ll be charged that deposit 10 days before your final payment is due.
Earn 10X Points on Eligible Choice Privileges Cruises
Choice Privileges Cruises is currently running a limited-time promotion for cruise bookings. Through February 20, 2026, members can earn double points when booking any balcony or suite on select sailings through the end of 2027. That means you’ll earn 10X points instead of the usual 5X.

Cruises of three nights or longer are eligible, and only one passenger per booking can earn points. To qualify, you’ll need to provide your Choice Privileges number at the time you place your deposit.
For example, a balcony stateroom on a seven-night cruise from Vancouver to Alaska is advertised from $939 per person. The final total comes to $943 per person, or $1,886.24 overall. With this promotion, you’d earn nearly 19,000 Choice Privileges points, worth about $250 based on recent redemptions.

Earning Choice Privileges Points
Even though the value could be better, there can still be a case for redeeming Choice points toward a cruise. Cruises are expensive, so any savings can help, especially if you’re looking to reduce your out-of-pocket cost.
But what if you need more Choice points?
Remember that Choice Privileges is a transfer partner of multiple major rewards programs, which makes it easy to top off your account.
Alternatively, Choice also offers two credit cards issued by Wells Fargo that earn points and come with welcome bonuses. And if you’d rather buy points outright, Choice frequently runs promotions with large bonuses or deep discounts.

Our Take
Choice Privileges Cruises is another option for earning and redeeming points on cruise bookings. However, redeeming Choice points this way typically delivers only about 20% of their average value, so it’s generally not a great use of points.
That said, earning up to 10X points on cruises can be a useful promotion. Plus, you may also be eligible for additional perks, including instant savings, onboard credit, and category upgrades.
