As part of the regular targeted American Express offers, Cardmembers can benefit from either a bonus point reward at certain chains, or they can save money with purchases at other establishments.
Extra Membership Reward Points
The current offer gives an additional 500 points for food and beverage purchases of $10 or more. This offer is valid at Burger King, Papa John’s, Panera Bread, and Dunkin Donuts. Cardmembers have until the end of December 2016 to use the offer. The extra points can be earned several times at each chain, up to a maximum of 1,500 points or 3 visits. Cardmembers who opt to max out their points earning will get 6,000 points for a minimum outlay of $120. Making the offer even more convenient for users, it’s not only valid in store, but is also applicable on online purchases.
Discounts on Purchases
For cardmembers who are also interested in discounts and not just in earning points, there are some great offers out there. At several chains, cardmembers can get $10 back for every $50 spent on food and beverage at participating restaurants. The participating chains include but are not limited to, The Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Red Lobster, LongHorn Steakhouse, The Capital Grille, and others. Unlike the Burger King and Dunkin Donuts offer, this one is more generous time-wise and will run until the 17th of January, 2017.
To find an exhaustive list of all the participating restaurants, or even which ones are located nearby, all you need to do is log on to the American Express website and go to the offers and benefits area. Like most Amex offers, these offers are targeted, and users will need to check whether they apply to their particular card.
