With a price tag of this magnitude, we recommend purchasing a Prestige membership only if you can maximize the benefits and extract enough value from the airline miles to justify the cost. At the very least, you'll want to have a clear strategy before spending ~$5,600.
One of the main reasons ASmallWorld Prestige is worth a look is because of the airline miles. Lufthansa Miles & More miles, in particular, are hard to accrue.
Simply by purchasing a Prestige membership, you'll have access to 300,000 of them — and more each year you renew. To maximize these, you'll have to book travel frequently through the participating brands. Otherwise, these perks of an ASmallWorld membership are effectively worthless. However, the airline mileage bonus is easier to maximize.
Value of Lufthansa Miles & More miles
Based on recent redemptions, AwardWallet users have redeemed Miles & More miles for 3.2¢ each. At that average redemption rate, 300,000 Lufthansa miles are worth around $9,600. After factoring in the ASmallWorld Prestige enrollment discount, you're effectively purchasing these miles for 1.87¢ apiece.
But you'll want to redeem the miles soon after you get them, or at least before June 2025. That’s when the Lufthansa Group switches to dynamic pricing.
