If you're not already a T-Mobile user, Delta is offering a compelling reason to give T-Mobile a closer look. SkyMiles members can currently earn 10,000 bonus Delta SkyMiles when they switch their current provider to T-Mobile.
Interestingly, this move will score you Wi-Fi access on four major airline carriers — including Delta. Here are the details.
Switch to T-Mobile for 10,000 Bonus Delta SkyMiles
For most of the last year, Delta has offered a sweet deal for SkyMiles members to switch their current phone carrier to T-Mobile. Switch to T-Mobile online or over the phone within 30 days of receiving the offer to earn 10,000 bonus SkyMiles.
First, go to DeltaTMobile.com, log into your Delta SkyMiles account, and check your phone number eligibility. It can be the number associated with your SkyMiles account or a separate number.
If you're eligible, purchase an eligible T-Mobile plan within 30 days of getting the offer (e.g., January 1, 2025 for me in the screenshot below) and maintain the plan for three months to earn 10,000 bonus SkyMiles.
Offers generally require that you enroll in a Go5G or Go5G Plus Plan — T-Mobile's newest unlimited data plans. However, your offer may let you choose a Magenta or Magenta Max plan instead. However, some offers may require the member to enroll in either a Go5G or Go5G Plus plan. Only customers with a phone plan with a U.S.-based carrier other than T-Mobile for more than 90 days are eligible.

T-Mobile Benefits on Airlines
In 2022, T-Mobile partnered with four major airlines to offer Wi-Fi to T-Mobile members with eligible plans. Eligible rate plans get this feature on nearly all domestic flights with American Airlines, Alaska, Delta, and United.
Funny enough, having T-Mobile is getting less and less useful for getting free Wi-Fi on Delta. That's because Delta Airlines now offers free Wi-Fi to all Delta SkyMiles members on almost all domestic flights. By the end of 2025, Delta should have free Wi-Fi on all international flights as well.

AwardWallet users have averaged 1.34¢ per SkyMile in recent redemptions. At this rate, this promotion nets you roughly $134 in rewards. Although Go5G plans start at $100 per month, remember that unlocks free Wi-Fi on domestic flights with four major airlines.
T-Mobile is one of the best phone carriers in the U.S. for travelers. The Go5G and Go5G Plus plans, among other plans, come with free, unlimited international roaming.
