One of the many benefits of the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is getting a Priority Pass Select lounge membership. This membership grants cardholders — plus up to two guests — complimentary access to over 1,500 Priority Pass lounges worldwide. And even Capital One Venture X authorized users get a complimentary Priority Pass Select membership.

However, a Priority Pass Select membership card isn't automatically mailed to you when you get the Capital One Venture X. Instead, you need to request your Priority Pass membership card before you can start using this benefit.

Here's the step-by-step process for requesting your Capital One Venture X Priority Pass membership card.

How to Request a Capital One Venture X Priority Pass Membership Card

To request your Priority Pass membership card, all you need to get started is your Capital One Venture X card. Then, browse to this landing page. Enter your card number, complete the Captcha challenge, and click submit.

On the next page, Priority Pass will show the details of your Priority Pass Select membership. This is just an FYI; you don't need to select anything on this page. To continue, click the “save and continue” button at the bottom of the page.

The next page will collect your personal information, including your full name, email address, and phone number. In case it differs, you can edit the name on your Priority Pass membership card to match the name that will be on your airline boarding pass.

Next, enter the address where you want your membership card mailed — which doesn't have to be your cardholder address.

Then, create an account with Priority Pass. Unfortunately, you can't use an existing account if you already have a Priority Pass account. Instead, you must create a new one tied to your Capital One Venture X Priority Pass membership.

Finally, you'll need to enter the cardholder name, three-digit security number, expiration date, and billing address from your Capital One Venture X card. Check the box to agree to the “membership declaration” and click the button to “Join Priority Pass.”

If everything went through correctly, Priority Pass will load a page confirming that you're a new Priority Pass member:

Want to see all of those steps spelled out in one flow chart? You're in luck. Priority Pass publishes an overly detailed step-by-step enrollment process.

While that seems like a lot of steps, this process only took me five minutes to complete as I wrote this guide. Hopefully the process is even quicker for you!

What if it's not working?

Priority Pass notes that you might have to wait two weeks after your Capital One Venture X card is mailed before you can enroll in Priority Pass. So, if you recently received a new card and are having trouble completing this enrollment process, you may want to wait a few days and try again.

Bottom Line

Cardholders may not realize that many card benefits require enrollment — including the Priority Pass membership on the Capital One Venture X. Since this is one of the card's key benefits, you'll want to take the five minutes needed to enroll in this benefit. That way, you'll have your Priority Pass membership card ready to go before your next trip. If you're traveling soon, make sure to take advantage of the digital membership card available through the Priority Pass app.
