Heading to an IHG property soon? There are several IHG promotions running right now — from global offers to targeted bonuses — that can help you rack up extra points or elite nights.
Right now, IHG One Rewards members can earn up to 8,000 bonus points every four nights, and double or triple points through September 30. There’s also a great opportunity to earn extra elite credits if you’re heading to Japan.

Global IHG Promotions
Double points on the second and subsequent stays
Pre-registration is now open for a familiar global promotion coming in September, offering members double points on all stays after the first throughout the month.
First, members must register for this promotion. After registering, book and complete stays at IHG properties by September 30, 2025. Members will earn 2X points on all stays, starting from the second stay, throughout the month of September. There is no limit to the number of points members can earn with this promotion.
As this offer starts after the first stay, consider staying just one night or a cheap stay to start earning double points. Additionally, if you live in the Americas, you should be able to double-dip on rewards with the following promotion to earn triple points at select brands.

Triple points at select brands for residents in the Americas
IHG One Rewards members who reside in the Americas can register to earn triple points on all eligible stays at select brands between July 1 and September 30, 2025.
While only residents in North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean are eligible for this promotion, valid stays are anywhere in the world at the following brands:
- voco
- EVEN Hotels
- Atwell Suites
- avid hotels
- Garner
Triple points are earned on the base points of the stay. However, members shouldn't have a problem pairing this promotion with other offers, such as double elite night credits or up to 8,000 bonus points every four nights.

- This offer does not give a maximum number of points that members can earn.
- Open only to IHG One Rewards members residing in the Americas.
- Members can only claim triple bonus points on one room per night.
2,000 points every 2 nights, or 8,000 points every 4 nights
IHG is currently running another good global promotion. Members can register for this offer and choose between 2,000 bonus points every two nights or 8,000 bonus points every four nights. You can only register for one of the two offers, and once you've made your choice, the other option becomes unavailable.
Only nights completed after registration count toward earning bonus points. The nights don't need to be consecutive, and stays can be as short as one night, as long as each night costs at least $30. And there’s no published cap on how many points you can earn through August 31, 2025.
If you plan to stay fewer than four nights (or just six or seven nights) during the promotional period, opt for the 2,000-point offer. Otherwise, the 8,000-point version will likely earn you more points.

Buy up to 5,000 elite qualifying points per night
Members may have the option to buy up to 5,000 elite qualifying points per night at booking. This might or might not be a good idea depending on your elite status goals, so check out the math of when it does and doesn't make sense.
Regional IHG Promotions
Most current regional IHG promotions focus on cash savings and offer up to 25% off your hotel stay or dining bill. While we hope to see more points-focused offers soon, regional deals are still worth considering, especially if you’re planning a trip and haven’t locked in your accommodations yet.
Up to 15 bonus elite night credits in Japan
IHG recently launched a new promotion of particular interest for anyone planning a trip to Japan. IHG One Rewards members can enroll to earn 5 bonus credits for every 5 nights stayed — up to 15 bonus elite night credits — at 14 specific hotels in Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe from July 1 to August 31, 2025. IHG One Rewards members can take advantage of several lucrative promotions. If you reside in the Americas, you can earn triple points at select brands through September 30. All other IHG One Rewards members can earn double points on the second and subsequent stays in September. Additionally, register to earn 2,000 bonus points every two nights or 8,000 bonus points every four nights.
