Dining rewards programs are an easy way to double-dip on points when dining out, and Marriott’s Eat Around Town program offers great earning potential for both new and existing members. And if you haven't signed up yet, it's a good time to do so.

What Is a Dining Rewards Program?
Many top airline and hotel programs offer additional points when you dine at an eligible restaurant and pay with a credit card you link to the dining rewards program. This strategy is often referred to as “double-dipping” because you get extra points from the dining program on top of the points you already earn from the bank when using your credit card.

Unfortunately, you can't triple-dip by adding your credit card to multiple dining rewards programs. Most airline and hotel dining rewards programs use the same back-end system. Thus, your card will be automatically unenrolled from one program if that card is added to another dining rewards program.
Marriott Eat Around Town Program
Marriott's Eat Around Town program lets Marriott Bonvoy® members earn bonus points when eating at participating restaurants. Bonvoy members regularly earn 4X Bonvoy points for every $1 spent on the total bill, including tax and tip. Furthermore, Marriott Bonvoy elite status members — from Silver Elite and up — earn 6X points on the restaurant bill. Both dine-in and takeout orders are eligible to earn points.
To earn points, simply sign up for the Marriott Eat Around Town program, register your account, and link a credit or debit card to pay your bill. You will need to use that card when paying your bill to earn the points.
Marriott Eat Around Town Promotions
Marriott offers various promotions for the Eat Around Town program. Here's a breakdown of what's active now.
Earn up to 6,000 bonus points as a new member?
Haven't joined Eat Around Town yet? Let's start there. Through January 5, 2027, join Marriott Eat Around Town, link a debit or credit card, and complete restaurant visits within 60 days of joining to earn the following bonus points:
- 1,000 bonus points after the first dine
- 2,000 bonus points after the second dine (3,000 total points)
- 3,000 bonus points after the third dine (6,000 total points)
200 bonus Marriott points for Eat Around Town reservations
This Marriott Eat Around Town promotion offers 200 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points for making a reservation through the website. And it looks like it's here to stay, as there's no end date listed. However, members are limited to claiming one bonus per day and eight bonuses a month.
With this promotion, members earn 200 bonus points every time they make a reservation through the Eat Around Town reservations widget and then show up for the reservation. The 200 bonus points are in addition to all other points earned through the program, including other promotional offers.

Cards Offering Marriott Bonvoy Elite Status
It pays to be a Marriott Bonvoy co-branded credit cardholder. Just by having one of the Marriott credit cards, you'll get (at least) Marriott Silver Elite status. That qualifies you for a 6X earning rate on Eat Around Town purchases instead of just 4X points.

Marriott Bonvoy credit cards from Chase and American Express aren't the only way to earn Marriott elite status. Premium cards such as the American Express Platinum Card® and The Business Platinum Card® from American Express grant cardmembers complimentary Bonvoy Gold Elite status after enrollment.
