Japan Airlines Mileage Bank has launched an award sale for up to 30% off select international flights departing now through February 28, 2027. This includes travel in all cabins, so now might be a great time to book your first JAL business class ticket. However, you'll need to act fast, as you must book by October 31, 2026.
JAL Mileage Bank has become a popular option for award redemptions in recent years, after it began partnering with transferable currencies in the U.S. last year. It's a great way to redeem award tickets to Japan, with some of the best onboard products for Pacific flights, especially in premium cabins.
Let's go over this latest sale.
JAL Award Sale Eligible Routes and Prices
To start, JAL has divided up its discounted award tickets into four regions: Guam, Taiwan, Europe, and North America.
JAL serves Guam directly from Tokyo Narita (NRT) on a Boeing 767, with economy and business class cabins but no premium economy. Guam flights are bookable for as low as the following:
| Destination | Economy | Business |
|---|---|---|
| Guam (GUM) | 7,000 | 16,100 |
Taiwan is the second region listed for this sale. JAL flights from Tokyo Narita (NRT), Osaka Kansai (KIX), and Nagoya (NGO) to Taipei (TPE) are eligible and can be booked for as low as the following:
| Destination | Economy | Business |
|---|---|---|
| Taipei (TPE) | 6,300 | 16,800 |
Europe to Tokyo is a lucrative market for award tickets given the higher fares and longer flight time. JAL's Europe routes from Tokyo Haneda (HND) and Narita (NRT) are also eligible for this sale, although you won't be able to book business class for its London flights.
| Destination | Economy | Premium Economy | Business |
|---|---|---|---|
| London (LHR) | 18,900 | 28,000 | N/A |
| Paris (CDG) | 18,900 | 28,000 | 39,900 |
| Frankfurt (FRA) | 16,100 | 26,600 | 38,500 |
| Helsinki (HEL) | 16,100 | 26,600 | 38,500 |
Award tickets on JAL from Europe to Tokyo traditionally cost anywhere from 80,000 to over 200,000 miles in business class, and finding availability for their cheaper saver fares can be tough. Snagging one of these sales for under 40,000 miles in business would be incredible value, since it's nearly the cost of a typical economy award ticket.

Unfortunately, North America routes don't have business class on sale. Booking an economy award ticket, however, can still hold strong value, going for just 18,900 miles one way:
| Destination | Economy |
|---|---|
| New York (JFK) | 18,900 |
| Boston (BOS) | N/A |
| Chicago (ORD) | 18,900 |
| Dallas (DFW) | 18,900 |
| San Francisco (SFO) | 18,900 |
| Los Angeles (LAX) | 18,900 |
| Seattle (SEA) | 18,900 |
| San Diego (SAN) | 18,900 |
| Vancouver (YVR) | 18,900 |
Travel dates also vary slightly by route. For Guam flights, travel must be completed by January 31, 2027, while Europe and North America flights are available through February 28, 2027. Taiwan flights are available for sales on flights through October 31, 2026.
