Marriott Bonvoy® points are best known for booking hotel stays. However, Marriott Bonvoy Moments offers another option: redeeming points for exclusive concerts, sporting events, culinary experiences, and other events that might be difficult — or impossible — to book with cash.

Available packages change frequently. Below, we’ll explain the basics of Marriott Bonvoy Moments, highlight the latest noteworthy opportunities, and show how fixed-price redemptions, auctions, and 1-Point Drops work.

What Are Marriott Bonvoy Moments?

Marriott Bonvoy Moments gives members access to experiences that can be purchased or bid on using Marriott points. Some packages provide tickets to events, while others include VIP access, hotel stays, meals, transportation, meet-and-greets, or behind-the-scenes experiences.

Marriott organizes Moments into four broad categories:

  • Arts & Lifestyle: Cultural tours, museum experiences, wellness retreats, art lessons, and other destination-focused activities.
  • Culinary: Chef-hosted dinners, cooking classes, food festivals, tastings, and access to difficult-to-book restaurants.
  • Entertainment: Concert tickets, music festivals, suite access, and other VIP entertainment packages.
  • Sports: Tickets, hospitality suites, meet-and-greets, and behind-the-scenes access at sporting events.

You can browse the Marriott Bonvoy Moments homepage by location, category, or keyword. Inventory changes frequently as new packages are released and existing experiences sell out or close for bidding.

Redeem points for Inter Miami CF experiences

Marriott Bonvoy recently became the official hotel and hotel loyalty program partner of Inter Miami CF and a founding partner of Miami Freedom Park. This marks Marriott’s first official partnership with a Major League Soccer club.

To celebrate, Marriott launched several Inter Miami CF Marriott Bonvoy Moments. All three currently listed experiences are auctions for packages covering two people:

  • Suite access for Inter Miami CF vs. Toronto: Watch the August 22, 2026 match from a private suite with complimentary food and beverages. Each package includes two suite tickets and one parking pass. Five packages are available, but flights, transportation, and a hotel stay aren’t included. Bidding ends August 6, 2026.
  • Warmup Watchers experience for Inter Miami CF vs. Atlanta: Get two tickets in Section 100 for the September 5, 2026 match, plus field-level access to watch the players warm up. Five packages are available. Flights, transportation, parking, and accommodations aren’t included. Bidding ends August 25, 2026.
  • VIP experience and hotel stay for Inter Miami CF vs. Nashville: This September 12, 2026 package includes two Section 100 tickets, a pre-match lunch at the Nu Club, field-level warmup access, post-match photos, private transportation between the hotel and stadium, two $100 Inter Miami CF store gift cards, and a two-night Marriott stay from September 11–13. Flights aren’t included. One package is available. Bidding opens July 30 and ends August 31, 2026.

Marriott has also announced Warmup Watchers packages for matches on October 10 and November 7, 2026. Those packages weren’t yet listed on the Marriott Bonvoy Moments website as of July 28, 2026.

These packages could be particularly appealing to Inter Miami fans who value field-level access or suite hospitality. But remember that the point cost can increase substantially before an auction closes. Decide what the experience is worth to you before placing a bid — and don’t let the excitement of an auction push you past that limit.

How Marriott Bonvoy Moments Redemptions Work

Marriott offers Moments through fixed-price redemptions, auctions, and occasional 1-Point Drops.

Fixed-price Marriott Bonvoy Moments

Fixed-price packages have a set redemption cost. If a package is available and you have enough Marriott points, you can redeem immediately instead of competing against other members.

These are the most straightforward Moments redemptions:

  1. Sign in to your Marriott Bonvoy account.
  2. Select the available package quantity.
  3. Click “Redeem Now.”
  4. Review the details and confirm your redemption.

Points are deducted immediately, and the redemption is final.

Auction-based Marriott Bonvoy Moments

Auction packages go to the member with the highest qualified bid when the auction closes. Marriott offers two ways to bid:

  • One-time bid: Increase the current bid by the required amount.
  • Maximum bid: Enter the most you’re willing to spend. Marriott’s system will automatically increase your bid in 2,500-point increments when another member bids against you, stopping once it reaches your maximum.

Once placed, bids can’t be edited or withdrawn. Marriott also doesn’t extend an auction when someone bids near the deadline, so each package closes at the listed time.

If an experience has several identical auction packages, check each one before bidding. The current bids can vary, and Marriott won’t refund the difference if your package finishes at a higher price than an identical one.

Marriott Bonvoy 1-Point Drops

Marriott occasionally releases a small number of packages that members can redeem for just 1 Marriott point. These 1-Point Drops are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can disappear almost immediately.

Marriott typically announces upcoming drops through its Moments website and social media channels. Members can redeem only one package across Marriott’s 1-Point Drop Moments per calendar year.

Some 1-Point Drop experiences also have separate auction packages. Winning or redeeming either version counts toward the one-package annual limit for 1-Point Drops.

How To Book a Marriott Bonvoy Moment

The exact process depends on whether the package has a fixed price or uses an auction:

  1. Visit the Marriott Bonvoy Moments website.
  2. Search by category, destination, or keyword.
  3. Open the experience and review each available package. Pay particular attention to the event date, number of guests, what’s included, and which travel expenses you’ll need to cover yourself.
  4. Sign in to your Marriott Bonvoy account.
  5. Redeem the listed number of points or enter your auction bid.
  6. Review the terms before confirming. Fixed-price redemptions and auction bids are final.

You must have enough Marriott points in your account when redeeming a fixed-price package or placing a bid. For an auction, you also need enough points when bidding closes. Although Marriott lets members buy additional points, the program warns that purchased points can take up to 48 hours to appear.

Marriott Bonvoy Moments Rules and Restrictions

Before redeeming points or placing a bid, keep these important Marriott Bonvoy Moments terms in mind:

  • You must be a Marriott Bonvoy member in good standing.
  • You can redeem no more than two packages for the same Moment. Additional restrictions may apply to individual experiences.
  • Bids and redemptions are final. You generally can’t cancel a redemption, withdraw a bid, or request a refund.
  • Packages generally can’t be transferred or resold. Marriott requires prior written consent before transferring, selling, assigning, or remarketing a package or any of its components.
  • Review exactly what the package includes. Most Moments don’t include airfare or other transportation. Some don’t include accommodations, even when the event takes place at or near a Marriott property.
  • Hotel stays included with Moments receive different treatment. Included stays don’t earn elite night credits, don’t count toward promotions, and aren’t eligible for elite benefits or upgrades. Eligible incidental spending may still earn Marriott points.
  • Bring identification. The member who redeems the package and each guest must bring valid government-issued identification.

Each experience can impose additional age, health, attire, documentation, or participation requirements. Read the individual listing before committing points — particularly when a package requires significant travel.

Are Marriott Bonvoy Moments Worth It?

The answer depends heavily on the experience.

AwardWallet users redeem Marriott points for an average of around 0.93¢ apiece. You can use that as a rough opportunity-cost benchmark. At that rate, redeeming 50,000 points means giving up points that AwardWallet users have historically redeemed for hotels at around $465 in value.

For an ordinary ticket package, compare the required points with the cash price of similar seats. Remember to include extras such as complimentary food, parking, transportation, or a hotel stay.

However, some Moments provide access you can’t replicate by purchasing regular tickets. Field-level warmups, private dinners, athlete meet-and-greets, and behind-the-scenes tours don’t always have an obvious cash value. In those cases, the most important question is how much the experience is worth to you.

Auctions require extra discipline. Set a maximum based on what you would willingly give up in hotel redemptions — and stick to it.

How To Earn Marriott Bonvoy Points for Moments

If you need more points for a Moments redemption, you have several options:

  • Stay at participating Marriott properties: Marriott Bonvoy members earn points on paid Marriott stays and eligible on-property spending. Elite members also receive a bonus based on their status level.
  • Use a Marriott credit card: Co-branded Marriott cards can provide a substantial welcome offer and bonus points on eligible Marriott purchases.
  • Use Marriott’s earning partners: Depending on your location, you may earn points through partners such as Uber, Eat Around Town, Hertz, Starbucks, and Marriott’s cruise-booking portal.
  • Transfer flexible bank points: Marriott partners with programs including American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, and Bilt Rewards. Transfers aren’t always the most valuable use of flexible rewards, so compare your options before moving points.
  • Transfer or combine Marriott points: Eligible members can transfer points between Marriott accounts, which can help couples or families consolidate balances for a redemption.
  • Buy Marriott points: This can make sense when you’re slightly short for a specific package, particularly during a Marriott buy-points promotion. However, don’t buy speculatively when auction pricing could move beyond your budget.

Final Thoughts

Marriott Bonvoy Moments gives members an opportunity to use points for much more than hotel nights. Some packages provide a straightforward way to save on tickets, while others unlock VIP access or experiences that aren’t otherwise available for purchase.

That doesn’t make each Moment a good redemption. Compare the point cost with what you could receive from a hotel stay, review what the package excludes, and establish a firm maximum before entering an auction.

For Inter Miami CF fans, the latest packages offer an interesting range of options — from relatively simple suite access to a full match-day experience with a hotel stay and behind-the-scenes access. Whether any package is worth the eventual winning bid will depend on how highly you value those exclusive elements.
