Wyndham has quietly renewed one of the best status match offers around, once again with little fanfare. With this promotion, you can match into the Wyndham Rewards program with as little as a one-night stay and even unlock top-tier Diamond status with just 10 nights.

Here's how it works and the steps to match your hotel elite status to Wyndham for free.

Wyndham Status Match Overview

Like many other hotel status matches, Wyndham Rewards' offer is simple: match your current eligible hotel elite status to Wyndham at no cost, enjoy complimentary status for 90 days, and extend it by completing a challenge.

Which hotel elite statuses match to Wyndham?

At the time of writing, Wyndham accepts status matches from eight different hotel programs. What makes this offer stand out is that you can qualify for Wyndham elite status even if you're only a general member in one of these programs, as shown in the table below.

To match to Wyndham, click here and log into your Wyndham account. Then fill out the brief form with your loyalty program details, membership verification, and Wyndham account information.

After clicking “Match My Status,” you should hear back from Wyndham in about a week — though it will likely be sooner than that.

Extend your trial Wyndham status by earning Qualifying Nights

Ninety days isn’t much time to enjoy hotel elite status, which is why it’s worth taking steps to extend it beyond the trial period by earning Qualifying Nights. If you complete a status match to Wyndham, here’s how many nights you’ll need to keep your status:

  • Gold: 1 Qualifying Night
  • Platinum: 4 Qualifying Nights
  • Diamond: 10 Qualifying Nights

Keep in mind that a Qualifying Night can be any of the following: a night during a Qualified Stay at a participating property with an average nightly rate of at least $25 USD, a Free Night at a participating property, or a Discounted Night booked with Points + Cash.

Once you meet the stay requirements, your matched status is extended through the end of the following calendar year. For example, if you complete the challenge in July 2025, your status will be valid through December 31, 2026. But if you wait and complete the challenge in January 2026, you’ll keep your status through December 31, 2027.

That said, the promotion could end at any time. So, while waiting could get you status for longer, it also comes with some risk.

Other Ways to Earn Wyndham Elite Status

This very generous promotion gives you an excellent opportunity to leverage your status from other programs — even if your elite status is through credit card membership instead of nights in beds.

For instance, holders of the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy® American Express® Card and the Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful™ Card both receive Marriot Bonvoy Gold status, which matches to Wyndham Diamond.

In the same way, holders of the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card (Rates & Fees) receive IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite status, which also matches to Wyndham Diamond.

Remember, if you hold The Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, you can enroll for Hilton Honors™ Gold and Marriott Bonvoy Gold. Both match to Wyndham Diamond. Enrollment is required for select Amex benefits.

If you're looking for a shortcut to Wyndham Rewards Diamond status, remember that's a built-in perk for those with the Wyndham Rewards® Earner℠ Business Card. It comes with a $95 annual fee and is issued by Barclays in the U.S.

Our Take

The Wyndham status match offer provides brilliant value, and the fact Wyndham keeps extending this offer is great news. Any time you can leverage status with one program for status and benefits with another, the points and miles gods are smiling upon you.

Remember, if you plan on taking advantage of this promotion, you need to plan your stays well in advance. You can only use this shortcut once, and your 90-day countdown is live and the clock is ticking once you match. Therefore, you need to know you'll complete the required stays to retain your status through the end of the following year. If interested, you can register for this offer here.
