For anyone like me who is looking for a break from crowded, noisy airport areas, having a Priority Pass membership is always a fantastic idea. With so many premium travel cards now offering Priority Pass as a benefit, it’s easier than ever to gain access to hundreds of airport lounges around the world.
But if you’d rather not carry your physical card while traveling, here’s how to set up your Priority Pass digital card on your phone instead.

How to Create an Online Priority Pass Account
Just having a Priority Pass card doesn’t mean you automatically have an online account. So, you’ll need to create one if you haven’t already. Start by visiting the Priority Pass website or downloading the Priority Pass app to your phone. Then, follow the prompts to set up your account.
You’ll need your Priority Pass membership number. You can find that on your physical card. If you haven’t received your card or have misplaced it, you can also find the number in many emails from Priority Pass. If all else fails, customer service can help you retrieve it over the phone.

As part of the setup, you’ll create a username and password. Choose a username that is meaningful if you plan on managing multiple accounts (more on this later). Save your login details because you will need them to access the app.
Once your account is set up, you can log in and use all the features. This includes searching for lounges at specific airports, pulling up your digital membership card, and checking airport maps to help you navigate a new place.

How to Add Your Priority Pass Digital Card to Your Wallet
Through the app, you can also add your Priority Pass digital card to your iPhone or Android wallet. This means that even if you’re not carrying your physical card or your phone is offline — such as after landing internationally without a data plan — you’ll still be able to access your account and enter a lounge.
To do this, go to the Card tab in the app. There you'll find your digital card displayed with a QR code that grants access to participating lounges. Depending on your device, there will be an option to add the card to your digital wallet, where it can be accessed even without an internet connection.

Once added, open your Wallet app, find your Priority Pass card, and have the lounge attendant scan the QR code. Just like with a physical card, the QR code must link to an active membership. If your account has expired, you will not be allowed in, even if the digital card is saved to your device.
Pro Tips for Managing Multiple Cards With Priority Pass Memberships
Priority Pass doesn't have a limit to how many accounts you can hold. That's good news if you end up with multiple Priority Pass memberships through carrying a few premium travel credit cards.
Each membership may offer different perks depending on which credit card the benefit came from. Some include unlimited access for you plus two guests, others allow just one guest, and some only provide a limited number of lounge visits per year. If you’re in this situation and don’t want to carry multiple physical cards, make sure you create clearly recognizable logins so you can tell your accounts apart and use them as needed.
For example, I have a Priority Pass account through my Chase Sapphire Reserve® (Rates & Fees) that gives me unlimited access to all Chase Sapphire Lounges. I also have one through my Citi Prestige® Card (no longer open to new applicants) that offers $28 per person for up to two guests at Priority Pass restaurants, a benefit going the way of the dodo on most cards.
I use separate logins like ‘BenPPCSR' and ‘BenPPCitiPrestige' to easily switch between accounts in the app and access the right benefits when I travel.

Bottom Line
Creating your online account and adding your Priority Pass digital card is not only easy but also a smart move if you prefer not to carry your physical card while traveling. It can help you avoid a cluttered wallet, reduce the risk of losing your card, and unlock useful in-app features like filtering lounge and experience results based on your specific account benefits.
Whether you have one or several Priority Pass accounts, it’s worth taking a few minutes to set up your online access so you’re ready for lounge entry on your next trip.
